Forget Resolutions—It’s Time for Real Dating Goals

New Year, New Love—Your Dating Goals for 2025

It’s 2025, and if you’re setting goals for your career, fitness, and finances, why not set some for your love life too?

I’m Rebecca Cooper Traynor from Match Me Canada, and after 15 years of helping singles in Toronto and the GTA, I can confidently say: intentional dating changes everything. If you want love to be a priority in 2025, here’s how to set dating goals that actually work:

  1. Get Clear on What You Want Who are you looking for? What values matter most to you? Define your ideal relationship.
  2. Let Go of What’s Not Working If your usual “type” hasn’t worked, maybe it’s time to switch things up. This year, say yes to people who challenge your assumptions.
  3. Be Proactive Whether it’s joining a new dating app, attending singles events, or working with a coach (hi, that’s me!), commit to actively putting yourself out there.
  4. Learn From the Process Every date teaches you something about yourself and what you need. Even the duds have value—trust me on this one!
  5. Stay Consistent Love doesn’t happen by accident. It happens when you show up for yourself and your goals, even when it feels discouraging.

If you’re ready to make 2025 the year you prioritize love, let’s chat. Book a call with me here, and we’ll create a personalized dating strategy that fits your goals and values.

Let’s make this the year you find real, meaningful connection.
