1. Sustainability is the key driver of innovation: there is no alternative to sustainable development.

If you always do what you always did, you will always get what you always got.—Albert Einstein

When I first launched this weekly review, I didn't know that it will bring countless feedback and precious perspective on the challenges we all have to address and the impact on our lives and economy. Yet, at Nevelab Technologies, we knew from the beginning that sustainability and efficiency increase our partners and customers' performance substantially.

1.1—Five critical perspectives that have been emphasized throughout the discussions about sustainability and efficiency

1. Diversity, inclusion, and equality

2. Climate change

3. Natural capital and biodiversity

4. Human rights

5. Resource management

Having said that, each vision is unique. I took the time to reflect and share these topics in the weekly reviews. It allowed me to answer specific questions and use diverse methodologies and frameworks to initiate conversations.

It's time to add another layer of value to these daily conversations: to distinguish the signals in a world of noise, and I suggest a new format to help you in your journey to help build a resilient and responsive organization.

2.1—Many questions remain unanswered

However, the pursuit of sustainability may generate a gold mine of organizational and technical breakthroughs that benefit both the top and bottom lines. By associating sustainability with innovation now, businesses may create the basis for themselves to rewind the future towards more agility and efficiency.

The pursuit for sustainability and efficiency-based solutions is already transforming the competitive landscape, companies to change the way they conceive products, processes, and business models.

According to our research and the work led with our corporate partners, businesses that have begun the journey go through five different stages of change. They encounter various issues at each level and learn new skills to address the challenges that may occur.

Sustainability: The countdown. Dear Yael Rozencwajg, as a subscribed member I believe that shortly it will be very rare not to support sustainability. New companies being created in the following years have a great opportunity to start their business activities on the right way. Consolidated ones will take a bite but never too long, time pass by very fast. Sustainability is a huge umbrella including human and not human aspects, but for sure it needs a global restyling of the company in order to not use sustainability in their marketing messages without the full real action plan behind. " Diversity, equity, inclusion & belonging is about people. Because change isn't hard, it is human. Dr. Sara Murdock". Humans will use proximity, sustainable packaging, and all the list of actions required also because the companies (regardless of its size) doing it right will be the ones with a friendly image so with easier access to customers, suppliers, employees and partners. Thank you for your weekly newsletter Yael. Best. Maria
