Forrester's Digital Transformation Forum Highlights
Earlier this week, I had the privilege to join business leaders and technology innovators at Forrester's Digital Transformation Forum in Chicago. As a professional (and a judgmental consumer!), I am confident that digital will be the battleground in which companies will continue to win, serve, and retain their customers.
Forum Highlights:
- Get the need for speed! - "it's no longer the big beating the small, but the fast beating the slow"
- Create digital innovation groups with leaders from across the organization to promote collaboration and bring tangibility and inclusiveness to your initiatives
- Embrace agile, move at warp speed, and gain feedback from your customers on a regular basis
- "Think like a VC!" - Use funding and phased strategy to gain buy-in through cycles and update the ecosystem with both the success you are having and the challenges/road blocks you are facing
- Understand that each time a consumer is exposed to an improved experience, their expectations are immediately reset to a higher level - regardless of your product, service, or industry
- "Data should have the loudest voice at the table"
- Most importantly, remove "we want" from your vocabulary and encourage your stakeholders to think in terms of "our customers want"
