Four new personalization features!

Four new personalization features!

Hi,

Sometimes I learn something interesting on Examine and email it to myself or stick it in my notes app.

That’s not very efficient! The Examine site should have a way to save and organize what you learn. And thanks to our tech team, now it does! (Tech never gets kudos in these emails, so quick shout out to Tyler, Marouane, Paul, Marzouq, Jernon, and Munzir.)

These features are available to everyone with an Examine account, free or paid. So if you have friends interested in nutrition or supplements, perhaps suggest they make a free account?

Here are all the new personalization features on Examine:

1) Save pages

You can now save useful pages on Examine and get email notifications when they’re updated. This includes all pages with a “Save page” button in the right sidebar, including health topics, interventions, and Study Summaries.

2) Create collections of saved pages

If you save lots of stuff, you’ll probably want to separate content by topic. You can do that using Collections.

In the slideout that appears when you click “Save page”, you’ll find an option to create a new collection or to add your saved page to an existing collection. Give it a name and hit “Save”.

See all your collections in Save Pages. You can also search for different saved pages or specific collections with the dropdown tool.

3) Manage your email notifications

Go to Save Pages in the dropdown menu. Email notifications will be sent to you by default for all the pages you’ve saved, including Study Summaries. To remove notifications for any page, click on the bell icon and toggle off notifications

Tip: Did you know that Examine+ members can receive email notifications about Study Summaries for different health categories? Head to your Research Feed and click on the ‘Customize’ button, then select daily, weekly, or monthly updates.

4) Add your own notes to any page

Want to note something about a health topic or Study Summary? Click on “Add note” in the right sidebar to quickly add your insights and thoughts to reference later.

See and search all the notes you’ve captured in Your Notes.

You can also update the note by clicking on “View note” on the page and then “Update note”.

We’re always trying to make Examine more useful to you, so try out these new features and let me know what you think!

Try on Examine

Sincerely,

Kamal Patel Co-founder, Examine
