The Four Reasons
I have worked with over 100 business leaders and founders and over 60 companies over the last seven years, helping them formulate and execute growth strategies. If I add the work I'd done before that, I've been working with business leaders for more than 20 years, always focused on growth and performance.
Going back through all the work I'd done through all this time, including reading hundreds of books, and completing a business degree and a Masters degree – I have come to the conclusion that there are really only four reasons founder-led businesses do not grow. Every growth obstacle I have ever come across falls into these four categories:
Often these points overlap, and often the obstacles may be driven by more than one of these – But by taking the time to become aware of which of these is most relevant to you right now, you can create focus on resolving what might just be the most important growth obstacle in your business right now.

At 5-2-50 we focus on helping Christian founders of small businesses that have at least 5 employees and have been running for at least 5 years, to achieve three goals:
1. Free the founder
… from the day to day grind of your business, so that you can focus on what you most want to do next.

2. Grow your business
… to 50 people or more, so that we can create good jobs, and eradicate poverty.
3. Reach at least ZAR 10 000 000 NPAT per year (± US600 000)
… so that you can have the cash flow to fund what you most want to do next, or invest in the businesses of other entrepreneurs in our community.
