Hello!

At turntabl, we are invested in growing a strong community of world-class software engineers and providing more opportunities for them to connect with the best technologists in their field.

As part of this initiative, we are excited to announce the Friends of turntabl (FOT for short) - a mentoring community for our stellar associates, and we would like to invite you to be a part of our soft launch.

What is Friends of turntabl and why is this important? 

Friends of turntabl was imagined when turntabl's engineering leads were reflecting on the journey they have gone through in their tech careers. They acknowledge how monumental and valuable mentoring was in their lives, how important it was to be able to talk to someone who has "done the walk", who perhaps was outside the company and could provide impartial recommendations and advice.

We recognise that access to senior developers with diverse experience is vital and we would like to connect our turntablrs with exceptional people outside the firm. We hope to provide networking opportunities that our associates will leverage and continue to expand in their careers and beyond.

 How will mentorship events be conducted? 

We will be setting up a slack channel and multiple online events as part of this new initiative.

We are trialling the soft launch remotely at the moment, but we are looking into creating formal events in Ghana in the near future, depending on the interest.

If you would like to become Friends of turntabl Technical Mentor please use this form to sign up Mentor Form and one of FOT's ambassadors will reach out to you to discuss the details. 

Our soft launch event will involve turntablrs pairing up with a mentor to discuss a technical challenge they are facing, or to work on their side project. Soft launch will take approximately an hour and 15 minutes on the 18th of May BST over Zoom (link will be sent with an invite).

In the meantime, please sign up to our slack channel: Friends of turntabl here, which will be one of the primary methods of communication between our associates and mentors.
