From Binary to Quantum Consciousness: The Evolution of Human Awareness

As human beings, we have a remarkable capacity for thought and self-awareness. However, our minds operate on a binary system of duality, where things are classified as either right or wrong, good or bad. This dualistic mode of thinking is necessary for us to navigate the world and protect ourselves, but it can also limit our ability to see beyond the boundaries of our own ego.

Yet, there is a field beyond our mind, a field of non-duality, pure oneness, and pure loving energy - consciousness itself. We are that loving, aware consciousness, and in this loving, aware human consciousness, there is a spectrum of light always pulling us in a positive direction for a better future.

To understand this concept, we can draw a parallel between our human binary brain and the traditional computer, versus the higher field of consciousness or universal intelligence and the quantum computer. Traditional computers operate on a binary system of 1s and 0s, where the computer can either be on or off, and all computations are based on a plus or minus binary system. On the other hand, quantum computers are based on a spectrum designed to always find the winning solution.

In the same way, our dualistic human brain operates on a binary system, where we often see things in black and white, with little room for nuance or complexity. However, as we expand our consciousness and move beyond the boundaries of the ego, we begin to tap into the higher field of consciousness or universal intelligence, which is more like a quantum computer. It is a spectrum of light and energy that always pulls us towards the highest and most positive outcome.

The wisdom teachings of Jesus offer a powerful example of this journey from binary to quantum consciousness. Jesus taught that the kingdom of God is within us, and that we can access this divine power through prayer, meditation, and living a life of service to others. He also emphasized the importance of treating others with kindness and respect, even those who may be considered outcasts or sinners by society.

One of the central messages of Jesus's teachings is the concept of non-duality, or the idea that there is no separation between ourselves and others, and that we are all connected by a universal consciousness or energy. 

As a Christian contemplative and mystic, I believe that this concept of non-duality can be tied to Christ, who is this unconditional loving energy. We are that Christ - Christ within us and Christ around us. In order to be a joyful, Christ-centered community, we must awaken ourselves to the Christ within ourselves as individuals, and then collectively we become a community of Christ-centered faith.

It's important to recognize that this community extends far beyond the walls of our church buildings. We are living in a virtual world, playing 3-D chess, and so it’s important that our church community feels like a joyful, loving, heart-centered community, rather than just a slogan on a building.

I am grateful to recognize my church community, St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Montclair, as one of these joyful, Christ-centered communities. We are fortunate to have a leader, teacher, and preacher, The Rev. John Mennell, the Rector of St. Luke's Church, who is spiritually awake and aware of Christ within us. Last week, he preached on fear, reminding us that as a Christ-centered community of faith, we must be driven by love and not fear.

As we move forward through the humanitarian crisis brought on by the Ugandan government passing the anti-homosexuality bill of 2023, we must ask ourselves how we, as a community of faith, can respond from that higher field of consciousness of unconditional love energy. How do we wake ourselves up to the truth of who we are, the unconditional loving energy of the universe itself, to respond to this crisis?

It starts with recognizing that we are all connected by a universal consciousness or energy, and that the suffering of one is the suffering of all. As we tap into this higher field of consciousness, we become more aware of our role in the world and our ability to create positive change.

We can respond to this crisis with love, and as we do, let us create a world where all are valued and respected, and where the light of Christ shines bright within us all. Let us be a beacon of hope in a world that often seems consumed by darkness.

In conclusion, the evolution of human awareness from binary to quantum consciousness is a journey that requires us to expand our minds beyond the limitations of our ego and tap into the higher field of consciousness or universal intelligence. It's a journey that is exemplified by the wisdom teachings of Jesus and the concept of non-duality.

As we move forward through this humanitarian crisis, let us be driven by love, not fear, and awaken ourselves to the truth of who we are - unconditional loving energy of the universe itself.
