From Russia to Slovakia with Love

This year when I visited my homeland I went to pay a tribute to young gunned down journalists whose only crime was to report on Fico and the corruption and crime of his Russian Mafia at that time. They were enthusiastic and idealistic young people who planned to have children and wanted their country to be free of that communist malaise their parents and grandparents used to live with.

There was just a little plaque on the corner of the busiest square in Bratislava where passersby put flowers and stopped to reminisce about the cost of freedom. No one was ever charged over their death. Their lives were shed in vain, Fico is back.

I visited an old mum of a murdered journalist who lives in a small Eastern Slovakian village to this day. She was told to shut up and get on with her life,  when she heard the news. Her neighbours told her that communism was good and Russians are our Slav brothers,.the corruption and crime is the way Russians live so let them do what they need to do.

"They would turn in their graves now," she sighed, polishing the photo frame of the loving couple.

When Fico was forced to resign after the murder and his Russian Mafia went back to hiding, he went to cry on the shoulder of his friend Orban across the border to Hungary. He advised him just as Putin for help again, you will be back. He helps you spread propaganda that America is bad for us. Do not worry in no time, you will be a tyrant like me, murdering those who talk against you in broad daylight, suffocating unwanted refugees who dare to cross your border in locked up carriages, and most of all make yourself rich beyond your beliefs.

When I heard the news yesterday I could only imagine: Orban and Fico having a big party with a direct line to Putin joking about their great fortune and showing a middle finger to the European Union and America who dare to talk about democracy. Power is all they need and crowds of people who follow them like sheep, you just need to brainwash them a little. There is a little problem Fico has to share the power as he did not win with a majority but his Russian Mafia will make sure everyone follows one line.

To infiltrate someone's politics is easier and less messier than invading someone's country. Unfortunately for Putin Ukrainians are not sheep, not like Hungarians or Slovakians and his puppet never lasted in power there. So they pay with their lives for it now.

I am happy I visited my birthplace this year because I do not know when I will venture back again, I have already got my gift from Russia for life when I was forced to study there as a daughter of dissidents: a broken health and nightmares of abuse that never leave me.
