From Vision to Impact: Changing the Face of Nigeria’s Market Research Industry

Last week, the Nigerian Marketing Research Association (NiMRA) held its first-ever Annual General Meeting (AGM)—a landmark moment in redefining the industry’s trajectory. As we reflect on this milestone, we’re incredibly proud of our CEO, Seyi Adeoye, 's pivotal role in revitalizing the association and driving its transformation as its President.

When SA assumed office as NiMRA President, his bold agenda to Reimagine, Engage, and Grow the Nigerian market research industry set the tone for an ambitious journey. Nearly a year later, his vision is coming to life in remarkable ways; since assuming leadership, Seyi Adeoye has driven transformative change at NiMRA by introducing structures to future-proof the association, including a revamped governance framework, training programs, webinars, and masterclasses to upskill members. There have been fruitful moves to improve NiMRA’s visibility through a bold rebranding effort featuring a new logo and website, modernizing its image and attracting fresh talent. The executive committee led by our CEO has also fostered collaboration across the industry by organizing key initiatives like the AGM to align stakeholders on shared goals while strengthening professionalism and ethics by standardizing market research practices and establishing platforms to resolve industry disputes.

As an agency committed to driving impactful insights, our CEO’s presidency of NiMRA is closely aligned with our mission to shape the future of market research in Africa. His leadership reinforces our values of innovation, collaboration, and excellence. We believe that the work being done through NiMRA will not only advance the industry but also empower businesses, governments, and brands to harness the full potential of data in decision-making.

The AGM’s theme, “Rebuilding Better, Together,” resonates deeply with us. It’s a call to action to push boundaries, collaborate, and build a future where marketing research plays a central role in driving growth across industries.

Looking ahead, we remain inspired by the transformation already underway. The Nigerian marketing research industry is poised for a brighter, more innovative future, and we’re proud to be part of this journey, contributing to the growth of an industry that helps businesses unlock potential and thrive in a rapidly changing market.
