Fujitsu Research News Update - April 2024
Event Report: Fujitsu ActivateNow Technology Summit Silicon Valley 2024
“AI-Driven Transformation: Morphing Challenges into Opportunities”
The recent 2024 Fujtisu ActivateNow Technology Summit (FAN-TS) in Silicon Valley marked a special occasion, as the inaugural event at our brand-new Fujitsu Research of America office, which we opened in December 2023.
Focused on the theme of "AI-Driven Transformation: Morphing Challenges into Opportunities," the summit was an exclusive, invite-only affair that brought together the brightest minds in the industry, including experts, thought leaders, our industry partners, valued clients, and academic friends. It was a day filled with engaging talks, interactive sessions, and panel discussions that not only provided deep insights into the transformative power of AI and computing but also sparked lively conversations and idea-sharing among attendees.
Spotlight on Digital Twin
Carbon Cakes - Thinking about the quality of our air
Seeing is believing. While we can talk about CO2 and PM2.5 reduction all day long, being able to physically visualize it enables us to find solutions for change – if we could see the amount of CO2 and PM2.5 emitted by the car we just drove, we would be able to visualize how to change our daily lives to lower it.
As part of our "Carbon Cakes" initiative, we used Fujitsu’s Social Digital Twin™ technology to estimate the PM2.5 values in our cake ingredients, using environmental data gathered through simulations, showcasing the balance between environmental, social, and economic factors on a radar chart.
Find out what our group of environmentalists, opinion leaders and R&D from Fujitsu thought about the carbon cakes, baked by Chef-patissier Ms Asako Iwayanagi from PÂTISSERIE ASAKO IWAYANAGI as they came together for one night only to talk about the future of the air we breathe.
