Full Details of My 10 week 1:1 VIP Career Coaching Programme

My signature 10 week VIP Career Coaching Programme is for senior HR professionals who love the organisation that they work for and the people who they work with.  They also know deep down that they have outgrown their current role and need a new challenge.

They know that they need to take action now because they are getting bored, like the bright kid in school, whose ability is beyond that of their classmates and they start to play up which gets them into trouble.

You are that kid.  You are no longer being challenged, so are starting to play up which is sabotaging your personal brand.  It’s time to move on but you don’t know where to start.

You could be a good fit for this programme if you know that you have so much to offer the right organisation yet you struggle to articulate what you have achieved in your career to date.

You find it easy to help your colleagues outline their contribution, but when it comes to you and your achievements you draw a blank.  You know that the work you do has a positive impact on the organisation but you grapple with translating the language of HR into results that make business leaders sit up and take notice.

You also know that you are going to be working for at least another 15 years and you have more fuel in the tank.

If you are ready to take that leap of faith in your abilities and reignite your excitement for work, you may find that this programme is perfect for you.

I am extremely confident that within 6 months you can secure your dream role in a dream company with a dream package that is completely aligned with your values and career plan.

Here’s how the programme works…

During the programme (which I think is frankly unparalleled), we’ll work together via several written exercises and Zoom calls – which you can record and keep – for 10 weeks following my proven process.

WEEK 1: Identify your values and career anchors

Your first exercise is a questionnaire that will get you to identify your priority values and career anchors.  You compare how these have been fulfilled (or not!) in your current and former roles.

This will form the foundation of their job search as any new organisation and line manager needs to align with these.  If they do not align, you are not going to waste your time applying.

WEEK 2: Identify your target market

Your next exercise is where you build on week 1.  If you were the sales and marketing division introducing a new product to market, you would first need to identify the group of customers who would most likely need and purchase the product you are selling.  This would normally be defined by age, gender, socio-economic group etc.

The same is true in job search, only this time, YOU are the product.  Your target market is defined by organisational culture, industry, size and location.  From here you create your “hit list” of companies that match your target market as well your values and career anchors.

Getting clarity on this at this early stage of your job search will prevent you wasting time applying for roles with organisations that are wrong for you and where you will not flourish.  You start to develop a more targeted approach to your job hunt.

WEEKS 3-4: Create your database of achievements

Now you are clear about who your target market is, we are going to create your database of achievements.  I’ll send you my STAR Story template (that's situation, task, action and result) and you’ll complete it over the course of a week.  When we meet to review, you will take me through each one and we will craft an achievement statement that articulates the results you delivered in each example.

This exercise will provide you a database of achievements that you can use on your CV, on your LinkedIn profile and as answers to interview questions.

Your transferable skills will emerge, as will those roles where you were operating in your zone of genius and the type of work you never want to do again.

WEEK 5: Develop your executive summary for your CV

Now we’ve got the big work out of the way, you can start crafting your CV.

According to various studies, hiring managers spend on average 6.72 seconds reading a CV, so it has to grab their attention from the outset.  I will not let you write “An enthusiastic, motivated, results-driven, dynamic team player”, this is vanilla - what the hell does this mean anyway?  Instead, you will learn my proven formula to create an executive summary that you can modify for each iteration of your CV, within minutes.  One that talks directly to the pain points of the person reading it.

WEEK 6: Create a database CV

You now complete the rest of your CV using your achievement statements we crafted earlier in the programme. I’ll provide templates for both the chronological CV and the functional CV, with advice about when and where to use each one.

Don’t worry about how long it is at this stage, you have captured all of your achievements in one place.  From now on, you can edit OUT all the irrelevant parts so that you can produce a targeted CV for each opportunity in less than 15 minutes.

WEEK 7: Optimising your LinkedIn profile

This is a working session where I will audit your LinkedIn profile based on your values, target market and achievements.

I will suggest ways for you to craft your LinkedIn headline and summary so that it attracts the right audience.  We will brainstorm the types of people that you should connect with (based on your “hit list”) and develop a content and engagement strategy that will get you noticed by those who are hiring (but not by your own manager!).

You will become confident in using the platform to get noticed in a crowded job market, increase your network with the right type of people and establish yourself as the go-to person for your thing and start to get approached for opportunities that excite you.

WEEK 8: Writing a killer cover letter

I will provide you with a selection of letter templates that you can use to beat the procrastination that comes with writing a cover letter.

Whether you are speculatively approaching an organisation, writing in response to an advertised vacancy or following up after an interview.  We will work through some examples so that you feel confident in highlighting your skills and experience that are relevant to each opportunity.

WEEK 9: Preparing for interview

I will walk you through the steps to fully prepare for an interview.  You will leave this session armed with a “rinse and repeat” process that you can activate for each interview which includes formulating a draft 90 Day Plan so that you can show just how prepared you are.

As salary may come up at the interview stage, we will also work through what an acceptable total reward package would like for you, along with options for compromise/negotiation.

The interview process will no longer phase you, you will arrive relaxed (as one can be) and position yourself as the ideal candidate for a role.

WEEK 10: Review of the programme

This is where we walk through each element of the programme, you can seek further clarification on anything we have covered so far and commit to the next steps in your job search.

Should you require any additional support at the end of the 10 weeks, you can book ad-hoc sessions with me or engage me on a month-by-month basis.

Note that you will also have unlimited access to me via Voxer throughout the programme to ask me anything, at any time (Mon-Fri only - weekends are chilling out).

What’s the investment?

The investment for this offer is £5k.

I have a payment plan available which involves an initial deposit of £3k, then two £1.5k payments over two months (taking the final cost to £6k).  Prices do not include VAT.

I am confident that the right person for this programme will secure their dream role in a dream company that is completely aligned with their values and career aspirations.

Because they are 100% clear on the value that they will bring to an organisation, I am confident that anyone working with me will increase their reward package by (at least) the cost of the programme, giving them a 100% ROI.

If interested in this programme, simply message me and we’ll have a quick chat via messenger/DM to see if it's a fit for you. If it is, I can enrol you today and I can send you your first exercise there and then - and our first call will be in a couple of days!
