Full of ‘firsts,” Qualcomm’s latest technologies deliver what’s next for 5G

In another significant leap for #5G, Qualcomm just unveiled the #Snapdragon X65 5G Modem-RF System. This is the world’s most advanced 5G modem-RF system to date, and the first ever to break the 10 Gbps peak speed barrier. It’s also the first to support 3GPP release 16, the latest 5G specification. 

This new modem-RF system is purpose-built to deliver outstanding global performance with the most comprehensive #mmWave and sub-6 GHz carrier aggregation capabilities. And, with the features enabled by release 16, we can now fully realize the transformative power of 5G across multiple industries. The X65 will enable a whole new class of premium use cases for smartphones as well as for mobile broadband devices, PCs, XR, industrial IoT, private 5G networks, fixed wireless access, and more.

Along with the advancements we’ve made with Snapdragon X65, we’re also significantly revamping our Qualcomm RF Front-End solutions. This includes the world’s first AI antenna tuning technology and launching our next-generation power-tracking solution that’s smaller, more efficient, and cost-effective. These and many other improvements in the RF Front-end are designed to bring superior 5G performance with amazing speed, broad coverage, and incredible battery life.

Additionally, we introduced our second-generation Qualcomm 5G Fixed Wireless Access platform, which features extended-range 5G mmWave and sub-6 GHz, and 8 receive antennas, providing a plug-and-play alternative to DSL, Cable, or Fiber. Ultimately, it provides operators a cost-effective way to deliver fiber-like internet speeds wirelessly over 5G to rural, suburban, and dense urban communities.
