Fun with Words, Awards, and the 5 Senses

Welcome to LabelTalk Link, your monthly MCC newsletter. This month we're sharing our new online glossary to help you talk the talk, highlighting some of our personal wins, and sharing a fun collaborative first with Coca-Cola Japan.

New Glossary available on our website 📔

In the dynamic world of packaging, understanding industry-specific terminology is helpful for ensuring your brand goals are achieved.

We’ve created a comprehensive glossary designed to be a valuable resource for all level of label learners – from seasoned industry veterans to newcomers seeking to deepen their knowledge.

The glossary, available here, can be sorted both alphabetically or by categories such as sustainability, market, print technology and label solutions.

We hope this resource empowers you with the knowledge you need to thrive in your role and contribute to the growth and innovation of your organization.

Awards – Our drive for results pays off 🏆

Above the day-to-day wins we experience on the job, there are big wins that earn a little extra celebration. In MCC “True Colors” fashion, our core behavior to drive for results has earned us the following awards:

Group A1 (Wines) Marketing/End Use category at 2024 FINAT Excellence in Printing Awards: MCC + L’Envolée Wines

Product Technology Innovation of the Year: MCC NextCycle(TM) IML

It’s never about the physical awards; it’s about what they represent. Proud of everyone involved in earning recognition, and excited for the opportunity to bring our innovations and quality solutions to new heights.

Coca-Cola Japan releases market-first scented label 👃

Take the dynamic Fanta brand, add an exciting promotional packaging element, and behold a full sensory experience!     Congrats to the The Coca-Cola Company in Japan who have launched a first-to-market scented label for their orange and grape Fanta beverages.

Coca-Cola Japan’s brand team worked closely with the MCC team to develop and commercialize unique orange and grape scents that are activated when the consumer rubs the fruit image on the label, releasing an inviting teaser of the drink they are about to consume.

"With the MCC Kuala Lumpur team’s passion and execution, we were able to solve issues together quickly and decisively and to introduce an exciting new scent label into the Japanese market. This resulted in a successful Fanta renewal!"

Scented labels is a great idea. Can be made using waterbased, UV water based and LOLM UV based inks or varnishes. Then, you have to think about the fragrance nature and the type of capsules to use. Mainly #screenprinting is recommended and, as well, #flexogravure #Mistralgraphic
