The Future of Warehousing: Insights from MODEX 2024
MODEX 2024 was definitely one for the record books, both in terms of exhibitor numbers and the sheer volume of attendees flowing through all three halls of the Georgia World Conference Center last week.
And it wasn’t my imagination either: according to MHI, this year’s show saw a “record-shattering number” of registered manufacturing and supply chain professionals, reaching a total of 48,733. This was the largest MODEX event to date, with 32% more registered visitors than MODEX 2022.
Navigating three halls took some practice, but life got a little easier once I discovered the “underground” passageway connecting the B and A halls, which were burgeoning with a mix of traditional material handling solutions, modern tech-based solutions and even some more futuristic options.
It was great seeing some new faces and some long-time acquaintances at the show, where companies like FLEXCon, JLT Mobile Computers, Lucas Systems and New Dawn were just some of the many companies that converged in Atlanta to demonstrate their solutions and answer questions. It’s always great to be able to catch up with everyone in person, despite the brisk booth traffic that started on Monday morning and kept going strong until the show wrapped up.
