December was held in the spirit of preparations for new year 2022. At the same time, we were continuing our newly acquired long-term cooperation with one of our newest client. During December, we successfully set the conditions for 3 new collaborations which will start in January 2022. Top Five December News
The last month of the year brought several interesting announcements and gaming news. In the following paragraphs, we have chosen the five most important ones.
Ubisoft has announced a remake of the stealth action game Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell. It is being developed by Ubisoft Toronto who are responsible for the latest entry to the series – Splinter Cell Blacklist. The release date is yet to be announced. However, all things considered, the game will be released in two years at the earliest.
The still very popular Battle-Royal game Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds is going free-to-play as of January 12, 2022. It has been announced at The Game Awards, with some content being locked behind a $12.99 fee that will allow players play ranked games and create custom lobbies.
It Takes Two, developed by Hazelight Studios, won the Game of the Year Award at the 2021 Game Awards, beating games such as Deathloop, Returnal, or Metroid Dread. On the official page of the event, you can check out all the winners in each category.
The support of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is not stopping, as Ubisoft has shown a brand-new story DLC called Dawn of Ragnarok. As claimed by the developers, it is supposed to be the biggest DLC to date, with the play time of around 35 hours.
Three new DualSense colours are coming in January – Nova Pink, Starlight Blue, and Galactic Purple. Together with that, Sony has announced PS5 console covers, matching the new colours of DualSense as well as the existing ones.
