Gender parity is critical to success in business

THIS WEEK'S TOPIC: Will new work norms such as the rise of hybrid working and work-from-home help improve gender equality at the workplace?

Hybrid working and WFH have become the norm across society ever since the pandemic hit. While I'm sure that such initiatives would help improve gender equality at the workplace, more needs to be done to ensure that we are truly walking the talk.

While the government has launched important initiatives to celebrate how women have shaped families, workplaces and communities, not many people are aware of how they can play their part in these programmes. Essentially, all areas of society - government, media, employers and educational institutions - must get behind the notion of true gender equality and play a part in sharing or talking about such initiatives. Only then can we drive and see true sustainable change.
