Generative AI for Digital Marketers - New LinkedIn Learning Course

Generative AI for Digital Marketers - New LinkedIn Learning Course

A few months back, I got a break from winter when I traveled to Carpinteria, California to record a new #LinkedInLearning course.

Being there is always a wonderful experience. You get to hang out in a charming and scenic beach town. And work with the smart and friendly people who put together the courses, like my producer and creative foil, Charles (Max) Wong .

And you're treated to a behind the scenes glimpse into how many talented people are involved in the process.

Another benefit of recording in person is meeting some of the other instructors, and hearing how they got involved, how they engage learners and a few of their development and writing tips.

Then, after a day in the darkened booth, you can unwind with a leisurely stroll along the ocean and just enjoy some quiet time to relax and reflect.

I was even more excited about this trip because the course I was doing was all about generative AI and its place in digital marketing.

AI: An Overnight Sensation ... After 60+ Years

As all of you know, generative AI has taken marketing and communications by storm.

You can use it to write, edit or summarize pretty darn good copy and social media posts or create images and presentations.

Soon anyone will be able prompt it to create and edit a video or build a customized chatbot and expressive avatar for your brand.

But while the AI deluge might be great for growing your team's productivity, its superpowers can also create some pretty bad shockwaves, including hallucinations (aka lies), biased results and misinformation.

And according to a recent survey of senior executives by KPMG, 60% of companies are about a year or two away from making AI part of their business.

So how do you prepare for the onslaught of changes and make generative AI a useful part of your workflow in a strategic and human-centric way?

That's what I cover in my fast-paced Generative AI for Digital Marketers course (⬅️ free by clicking on the title or image below ⬇️).

A big thank you to Max and also to my content manager Kate Gagnon and senior asset producer Misty Teach-McCloud for all your ideas and support!

Check it out, let me know what you think.

You have the perfect timing. This is what that was going through my mind too. Thank you for the new course on Ethics of using generative AI.

Thanks for sharing... Will certainly have a look.. What fascinates me about generative AI is that we're again reimagining what a search engine can do. With this powerful new technology, we can unlock entirely new types of questions and transform the way information is organized.

Just completed the online course. Thank you so much for this! We are looking at how AI may benefit us, and this was a great overview. Especially liked the PDF that listed available AI resources. Looking forward to learning more and seeing where AI goes.
