Genesis Novel Pasture and Agriculture
At Genesis Novel Pastures and Agriculture we specialise in Miniature Galloway Pets. We pride ourselves on having the best fully registered stock which we carefully select for breeding down miniature cattle to micro sizes.
We open our farm gates to the general public to allow everyone to enjoy our pride and joys enabling kids and kids at heart a hands on experience with cattle up close and personal.
Despite the extreme drought and harsh, dry conditions we at Genesis Novel Pastures and Agriculture have had our most successful year with our cattle.
This year we have had a record five calves born, three of which were beautiful little heifers, with our first heifer born from a Genesis Novel cow. This with our three heifers born in 2017, after 2018 being a white wash of fours boys, we have accumulated 6 Genesis Novel Cows / Heifers. Nelly, Nadya, Nova, Quinley, Quanah and Quintessa. This, with our stock cattle of Molly, Sugar, Klaudia & Amanda gives us the best opportunity to meet our goal of 10 calves in one year in 2020. Above is our prize heifer Quinley. She is Molly's second calf with her and Nadya nearly identical cuties.
After securing a home on 200 acres for Joey, 2019 has seen the promotion of Bert as lead bull and has had his girls amalgamate with our original stock Joey serviced to form a super heard.
He has settled in nicely and put his first two calves on the ground this year. Quay and Quanah.
We were also lucky enough to find a home for Lexy, a beautiful stock cow we bought with Joey 4 years ago.
Quincy has also proven to be a little star. He has just been steered and moving to his home in the coming weeks. He is a quite boy who is probably the smallest we bred to date.
He is Lexy's and Joey son. Yes, that's right, you heard correctly, both parents are strong white with black points markings and he is a black solid. He is still so cute though and the pictures never give him justice. Davinia, my step grand daughter, is the beautiful model spending time with the cattle and halter training the young ones after they are weaned.
Quay, Bert's first calve was born mid year. He is due to be steered this weekend and is going to his new home in the coming weeks as well. He is the son of Klaudia, who has had her second son here at Genesis Novel.
This is a very special girl. She represents 5 years of hard work and selective breeding. This is Quanah, the very first heifer born to a Genesis Novel cow. She is Nellie's daughter (Lexy's Grand daughter) and Bert's first heifer (second calf) on the ground. Her 7-1 immunisation needle is due soon and she will be weaned and kept on the farm until she has her first heifer.
Generally, we keep the heifers until they mature into a cow and have their first heifer to continue our breeding program.
And finally, meet little Quintessa. The next big super star of Genesis Novel Pastures and Agriculture. She is perfectly marked and our best heifer to date.
Amazingly she is Amanda's daughter and Nova's full sister who are both black.
We can't wait to get our hands on her after she is weaned from her mother.
So while it is very easy to focus on negatives during such a dry, difficult year both personally and business wise, we at Genesis Novel love nothing more than to share our beautiful creatures with everyone to hopefully bring a smile to someones face...............
