We're all about choosing to be happier healthier humans come what may, day by day. To be better at doing this we practice. We practice training ourselves in every moment of every day as we make our way through this thing called life.

These are wonderful as a brief pause, a quick pattern interrupt, or a sensational release to better respond during a difficult situation.

Here are five more small shifts in daily habits to help you achieve a healthier lifestyle with less effort:
1. Practicing Compassionate Loving-Kindness Toward Self and Others:
- Start your day with positive affirmations or self-compassionate statements to set a tone of kindness towards yourself.
- Practice forgiveness towards yourself for any perceived shortcomings or mistakes.
- Cultivate empathy towards others by actively listening and seeking to understand their perspectives without judgment.
- Engage in acts of kindness towards others, whether it's through volunteering, helping a friend in need, or simply offering a kind word.
2. Mindfulness in Daily Activities:
- Incorporate mindfulness into routine activities such as eating, walking, or even washing dishes by paying full attention to the present moment and sensations.
- Take regular breaks throughout the day to pause and check in with yourself, noticing your thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations without judgment.
- Practice mindful breathing exercises to center yourself during moments of stress or overwhelm.
- Integrate mindfulness into communication by being fully present in conversations, listening attentively, and responding consciously rather than reactively.
3. Movement Snacks:
- Incorporate short bursts of physical activity throughout the day, such as stretching, walking, or doing bodyweight exercises.
- Set reminders or alarms to prompt movement breaks every hour or so, especially if you have a sedentary job or lifestyle.
- Make movement enjoyable by choosing activities that you genuinely enjoy, whether it's dancing to your favorite song or taking a brisk walk in nature.
- Experiment with different types of movement to keep things interesting and prevent monotony.
4. Getting Grounded with Nature:
- Spend time outdoors regularly, even if it's just for a few minutes each day, to reconnect with nature and ground yourself.
- Practice mindfulness in nature by observing the sights, sounds, and sensations around you without distractions.
- Engage in outdoor activities that bring you joy and relaxation, such as hiking, gardening, or simply sitting in a park.
- Take advantage of natural environments to exercise, such as jogging on a forest trail or practicing yoga in a peaceful outdoor setting.
5. Ensuring Sufficient Sleep:
- Establish a consistent sleep schedule by going to bed and waking up at the same time every day, even on weekends.

Each of these small shifts can contribute to a healthier lifestyle with less effort, promoting physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
