Get to know the faces behind Diginex: Meet - Abraham Joseph - Product Owner

Tell us about your corporate journey and what you have loved about it the most so far?

I began my career as a Software Engineer, where I quickly realized my interests extended beyond just coding. After completing my master’s, I transitioned into Business Analysis and Product Management, spending most of my time working in the airline industry. This role gave me the opportunity to work with prominent global airlines, tackling complex challenges and improving critical systems. What stood out to me the most during this period was the diversity of people I worked with, each culture adding new perspectives and lessons to my journey.

In 2022, I joined Diginex during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, moving into the ESG space. It’s been an incredibly fulfilling experience, working on projects that make a real-world impact. What I love most about my journey is the opportunity to collaborate with teams from different cultures and continuously learn something new with every challenge. Meeting people from around the world and understanding diverse perspectives has been the most rewarding part of my career.

What would you say is your favourite thing about working at Diginex?

My favorite thing about working at Diginex is the incredible product team I’ve had the privilege to work with. The team not only provides me with endless opportunities to learn in ESG and due diligence domain, but also fosters an environment where everyone is encouraged to express their ideas freely. I appreciate the collaborative spirit, where everyone’s voice matters.

What would you say is the driving force in your life?

The driving force in my life is staying grounded and calm amidst the fast-paced changes happening around us. I’m aware of how quickly the world evolves, and I believe the key to thriving in this environment is maintaining a mindset of continuous learning and striving for meaningful improvements. Equally important to me is helping those around me grow and succeed along the way

Outside of work, what are some of your passions/hobbies?

Outside of work, my interest lies in traveling, especially with family and friends. Exploring new places and lifestyle always brings memorable experiences. I’m also interested in fitness activities. Indulging in various sports activities to stay active, whether it's playing a game or hitting the gym.

If you could go back in time and give your younger self some advice, what would it be and why?

If I could go back, I’d tell my younger self to be braver and take more risks. Looking back, I realize that stepping out of my comfort zone would have led to even more exciting challenges and opportunities. It’s through those risks that you grow the most, and I’d remind myself that the best experiences often come from the bold moves you make.
