Kayleigh (Kay) – Recruitment Consultant

Almost 3 months

3)What does your job entail?

I see recruitment as a rewarding puzzle. The Clients are the Whole puzzle, with a missing piece. The missing piece resembles a suitable candidate. Therefore, my daily role entails finding that missing piece for clients to make the whole picture. Or simply, finding suitable candidates for reputable clients.

4)What is a typical day like?

Hopping on job boards and social media. Communicating with new, existing and potential candidates or clients. Giving out information or role guidance and answering key questions.

5)Favourite memory from your time at work?

Kicking Reynolds ass at chair building. Especially as the newbie.

6)What’s an ideal client?

Someone that tells you exactly what they want, black & white. This way I can feel confident in my search for candidates and don’t need to keep disrupting clients’ busy schedules with lots of questions.

7)What advice would you offer for someone who wants to be in your industry?

Confidence is key. People do want to speak to you and hear about roles that suit them so be confident in yourself to contact them. The worst they can say is no thank you.

8)What do you like most about your job?

The social aspect I guess, and the reward of placing someone into a role they thoroughly enjoy.

9)What do you find most challenging about your job?

Industry Jargon, often people will talk about jargon within their industry, I guess I will learn it in time!

King Charles I School – Where I wanted to go down the route of Art, until my business teacher told me it would be a waste of talent (Thanks Miss W!)

12)What do you like to do when you aren’t working?

Id like to say travelling but covid has recently made that a bit harder!

13)What do you follow outside of work (sports / theatre / tv shows / comics)?

OUTLANDER! That’s become my Sunday night obsession.

14)What’s a fun fact about you many people may not know?

           I’ve had every colour hair colour from the rainbow – love seeing what comes out next!

Retail Sales Assistant

3     Dogs, Frankie, Benji and Pabadopolopolus (Pablo)

17)What’s one thing you’re really good at / one thing you’re really bad at?

I’m really good at being creative, love painting and making my candles but I’m so bad at taking criticism, it’s really something I’m working on!

18)What three items would you take with you to a deserted island?

Boat, to get home (Obvs), Swimwear and maybe a Cocktail.

19)If you could have a career in anything, what would it be?

I have been thinking about this a lot recently, for now I am happy with having flexibility, the chance to earn commission (and spend my commission). In the future we will see where the world takes me!

20)If you could meet anyone (real / fictional) who would it be and why?

Seth Green just always liked him – maybe because he’s the same height as me and when I was young I was OBSESSED with Buffy.
