Chapter1: What can the Painting Company do with it?

Using painting SEO techniques intelligently can help you rank well for 2- and 3-word phrases or unique single words that relate to your service. You don’t have to type #1 for “painting service,” as you can rank on the first page for hundreds of other keywords and phrases.

For great SEO, here are some important factors –

  1. Optimized website structure and programming

Surprisingly not all websites are designed with search engines in mind. Search engines may not index some websites because they have more images than text.

SEO-friendly websites will have human-readable URLs, XML Sitemaps, keyword-rich alt and title tags, and W3-compliant codes.

The type of website also matters. Blogs tend to be more search-engine-friendly than traditional portfolio websites. Bloggers tend to use more links, which is how search engines move from one page to the next on your site.

2. Search engine optimization on-page

On-page optimization, as long as you own your website, is the best way to make a difference in how search engines rank it. It’s also straightforward.

It’s all about the words. . . How you title your post, the words you use when you describe your service, and your site title, tagline, and description.

On-page optimization works best when you use descriptive words and precise phrases.

3. SEO: Inbound Links

An inbound hyperlink is when another website or blog links to your site. These links can do more than you think. Not only can they direct people to your website but also to search engines. They also count as votes for your site.

Google and yahoo will rank your website higher in search results pages if you have many websites linking to you. You might want to create a blog and then link to other websites. More links will be returned to you if you get involved.

Not all inbound links can be considered equal. The votes for links from popular websites, i.e., websites that appear on the first Google page, count as a more significant vote.

Another fascinating thing about inbound linking is the importance of the words that make them. Getting many benefits from a review of your painting service would be tough.

You’ll be more prominently displayed in search results when people enter the exact keywords into Google or Yahoo.

If you own multiple blogs or websites, you have the unique opportunity to add links from those sites. You can also choose the keywords you want to point to your leading site.

4. Internal links

Contrary to inbound links, “internal” links are links you create that point to other pages on your website from your page.

This technique is sometimes called a deep linking technique. Although it is not as efficient as getting others to link to your site, it can still be beneficial for painting SEO and worth it.

If you have several links in your sidebar that point to your favorite blog posts, they will rank higher than any other pages on your website and better than other websites on the same topic.

You can include internal links in both your blog posts and your sidebar. You can promote a piece of service you like (let’s take, for example, interior painting) by writing a blog post and linking to it with the phrase “Best Interior Painting Ideas.”

This link includes all the keywords. Anyone searching for interior painting services or ideas for interior painting in the search engine’s result pages will find your name much more often.

Chapter2: SEO: How can it help your painting business?

The above discussion shows how vital painting SEO is for your painting business.

Painting companies invest in SEO because they know the benefits and the fact that it is more than worthwhile.

THESE ARE SOME PAINTING SEO TIPS FOR PAINTING BUSINESSES:

  • Increases Search Engine Ranking – This is the first benefit. Optimizing the SEO elements will increase your pages’ ranking in Search Engine Results. It will result in more traffic to your site, which will lead to more leads.
  • Higher Conversion Rate – Your primary goal is to convert visitors to your painting website to customers. Highly targeted painting SEO will bring genuine visitors to your site and increase the number of estimates booked.
  • Engaging with Customers – This helps customers warm up to you and your brand and provides more insight into improving your services. It is where SEO’s content marketing comes in.
  • Brand Awareness – SEO practices can increase brand visibility and presence on the internet. It, in turn, will improve your brand awareness. Thousands will remember your business of potential customers and prospects by being ranked high in various keywords and phrases.
  • Overtake Your Competition – It is possible that your competitors aren’t taking full advantage of SEO. An effective painting SEO strategy will help you stay ahead of the game by increasing your online visibility, authority, and lead conversion.

Chapter3: How can you get tangible results with Painter SEO Services?

Step 1: Comprehensive SEO Audit

SEO companies often overlook this step. It is the most crucial step.

How do you get to the place you want?

We recommend a thorough audit to determine the best SEO strategy for you.

  • Current SEO performance
  • Current SEO errors
  • Find out what your local competitors do
  • Performance in technical SEO
  • More

Step 2: Audit of local SEO visibility

Painter SEO aims to improve what we refer to as your “local visibility.”

We use robust and reliable third-party tools to run an “SEO visibility” test on your business. This allows us to determine how visible your business is on Google.

Step 3: Make a road map based on data

We now have tons of data from both the SEO and local SEO visibility audits. SEO should be based on data. Most other SEO companies do not follow this approach and instead rely on their intuition.

Based on the data, we recommend that you create a detailed roadmap. You should fix your website if it loads very slowly, which can negatively impact performance.

Step 4: Make the most significant changes first.

SEO activities may not be the same for all. Adding internal links to a 2016 blog post won’t affect your rankings. Based on data, it is essential to focus your efforts on the “low-hanging fruits” opportunities.

Are you not a Google My Business owner? It’s a good idea to start there. Are you missing a Services page? Creating one before you worry about the images on your About Us pages is a good idea.

Step 5: Local SEO Best practices & Content Creation at Scale

The following is the key to local SEO for painters:

  • Google trusts consistent information
  • Authority
  • Accurate information

Google won’t like a website with a different phone number than the one on your Facebook page. Google will not rank your business if they don’t believe a caller will get through to you.

It is crucial to have consistent NAPs in high-authority directories all over the internet.

Let’s talk about authority. That’s where content comes into play. Google will consider your painting business more authoritative if you provide answers to your target audience’s questions.

Step 6: Carefully track data

SEO has a tangible effect on your painting business, increasing website traffic or phone calls and ultimately increasing your revenue.

You must track data to ensure that your painting SEO campaigns perform well. Create a dashboard that provides insight into your:

  • Keyword rankings
  • Phone calls
  • Website visitors
  • Other important KPIs

Chapter4: Let’s look at the key factors that impact your website’s search engine optimization

CONTENT MARKETING

“Content is King”- you’ve probably heard this phrase many times. And it’s not a cliché!

The primary way to attract search engines is through content. It will help your painting business connect with, inform, or engage visitors to your site.

Your content will rank higher in search engine result pages if it is of higher quality and more consistent. It will allow you to attract more visitors to your site.

Visitors will also be more inclined to spend time on your site if it is engaging and valuable.

Blog posts that are…

  1. Relevant
  2. Targeted advertising that targets your market
  3. Beautifully formatted
  4. Your audience will find you valuable

You might find it challenging to produce new content consistently as a business owner in a painting business.

It is entirely understandable, but it shouldn’t stop you from getting the job done! Many content writing services are available to keep your blog consistent.

LocalSEOHub offers a blog service but also specializes in painting SEO services. We’re happy to take care of this while you concentrate on your core business operations, just as we do for many other painting contractors like you. Blog posts and articles are the main content your painting business should focus on.

SEO should not only be about relevance, value, and formatting but also include key phrases and keywords. Users may use these most relevant keywords and phrases to search for information about your services. Your ranking on Search Engine Results pages will increase slowly if you create content that uses these keywords and key phrases.

You can also increase your search engine rankings by increasing the frequency of your postings. How often do your paintings blog get updated? Google loves fresh content.

You can increase your rank by –

  1. Consistently writing new blog posts
  2. Update existing content and add further information
  3. Add statistics/case studies to existing content

*Tip: Google likes pictures, bullet points, and headings*

PARTS OF SEO

Other factors directly affecting SEO can be classified loosely into “on-page SEO” and “off-page SEO.” These are elements that can be found on your blog or website.

These are elements that you can control and have complete control over. They go beyond creating blog posts.

Chapter5: How to choose a domain name (and page URLs), for your Art Website or Blog?

If you plan to launch a painting website or blog and want to increase the search engine traffic you receive, it is worth taking extra time to consider your domain name.

People don’t know extensively about SEO (or Search Engine Optimization).

Based on SEO experience, these are some considerations when choosing a domain name to host your blog or your painting business website.

  • Incorporate keywords that relate to the type of service you are offering

If you are an exterior painter, you should consider keywords related to exterior painting. You don’t have to use “paint,” “painting,” or any other terms. House painting could also be used.

Many domain names have been taken, so don’t be surprised that obtaining the domain name you desire might be challenging. It’s possible to have to try several different terms before you find the right word.

It’s worth spending some time doing this, whether it’s for a few hours or days. Google places much importance on the words in domain names. By including “exterior painting” and “exterior painter,” your website will rank higher when people search those terms.

  • Use a location-specific keyword.

It is not something every business should do, but it can be helpful to some. You might consider including this information if you are well-known in a particular area or have a specific style associated with a region, state, or city (Like the Southwest or East Coast).

It wouldn’t surprise me if searches for “East Coast painters” or “Southwestern painting business” were high. Those trends can be capitalized on by savvy businesses who choose domain names that include some of these words.

  • Keep your domain brief: no more than three words.

It is this that makes it so difficult. Long domain names can be challenging to remember, tedious to type, and a bad idea.

It’s often better to use fewer letters and easier-to-pronounce words than to string together a string of keywords.

It’s not only the domain that can affect search engine rankings. Your website can also be affected by page URLs (the address at the top of your internet web browser).

Here are some suggestions for selecting page URLs

  • Important keywords should be included in URLs

Search engines emphasize each word in the URL. It means it is better to use descriptive keywords that relate to each page, rather than phrases like “page1” and “about.”

Most blogging software creates the URL right from the blog post’s title. This tip is essential if you are making your business website.

  • Separate words using a hyphen, underscore.

Search engines won’t be able to distinguish words that are too close together in the URL’s central section. Separating each word with a “_” or “-” will make them count.

(I should also mention that this is not the case for your DOMAIN name. You’ll want to avoid hyphens and underscores there if you can.

Chapter6: Tips to Optimize SEO with Keywords for Your Painting Website

Search Engine Optimization can increase your conversion rate by 14.6%. It is much better than social networks, with a conversation rate of 7%.

SEO is based on the selection of keywords that are relevant to what your article discusses. Optimizing your painting SEO using the right keywords can increase conversion rates and help you get more clients.

HERE ARE IMPORTANT WAYS TO OPTIMIZE SEO FOR YOUR PAINTING WEBSITE WITH KEYWORDS

  • Check the Popularity of Your Primary Keyword

You can help optimize the SEO of your painting website by checking the popularity of each primary keyword. You will know the primary keyword on any page because it is the main topic. You can determine the primary keyword for each page to see its popularity. You may find it more beneficial to use a related keyword that is less popular, depending on the popularity of the keyword.

  • Locate the Keywords you Want to Map

Creating a map of all keywords you use on your site is wise. Depending on how many pages are available, this process will take some time, but it is worth it. You will need to visit all pages to find which keywords are used.

You can use some tools to find keywords, but it may be more efficient for you to search manually. Once you have all the keywords from your pages, you can create a keyword map.

  • Focus Creation Around Keywords

You now know the importance of keywords for painting SEO and how they impact your creation so that you can focus on their future. Instead of writing content and searching for the right keywords, it is better to do the opposite.

You should first identify the keywords people are searching for and then create the content. It will ensure that your pages get more visitors.

  • Optimizing For Mobile Is Different

When creating your website, you must understand that SEO for mobile browsing is not the same as optimizing desktop and laptop computer searches. People look at websites differently on smartphones than they do on laptops. Remember that simplicity is almost always more effective when working on your mobile website.

Keep your text concise and to the point. People on their phones won’t be scrolling through your page endlessly.

  • Analyze your Content

Analyzing your content is another thing you will want to do after you have learned about the most popular keywords. It means you can examine each page of your website and determine if the keywords are performing well. It is a sign that it is time for you to replace keywords found on pages.

It’s possible that keywords that work well one year may not work the same way the next. Therefore, it is worth checking pages frequently.

  • Long-Tail Keywords

Last but not least, remember that long-tail keywords can be precious. People will often use natural phrases or sentences when searching online. They won’t search for “kitchen cabinets painting” but will add context to complete sentences. An example sentence would be, “Who can paint my kitchen cabinets in Las Vegas for a fair price?” It is more natural than a natural search.

Long-tail keywords will increase the number of natural search users clicking on your website.

Chapter7: Top tips for improving your user experience On-Page

Whether you are working on an existing website or launching one, on-page SEO strategies can be applied to all websites.

On-page SEO optimization is a powerful tool to help your website rank higher on Google. It increases your site’s ranking on Google, provides more interaction and value for every visitor, and improves content quality and keyword targeting. But, it is not easy to nail on-page SEO.

IMPROVE PAGE LOAD TIMES

Technology advances have raised expectations about how long a page should take to load. A new study has shown that visitors are more likely to leave if the page takes longer than one to three seconds. One question was unanswered for a long time: Does page speed impact SEO?

Google clarified that page interaction (how users interact with your content) was essential to their algorithm. It is a feature that Google has implemented in its algorithm.

Google’s Page Experience metrics include this: Core Web Vitals. Core Web Vitals consists of two components: Largest Contentful Painting (LCP) and First Input Delayed (FID).

  • The Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) measures the speed at which the pixels are ‘painted’ onto the screen
  • First Input Delayed (FID) indicates how fast a user can interact with the page.

These metrics measure how quickly a page loads.

You can improve your on-page SEO and deliver a superior user experience by reducing the loading time of your website. Your website must load quickly to improve your online presence.

STRUCTURE THE TEXT

Using as many heading tags (“hX”) on your website is tempting, and not consider the consequences.

It can lead to a poor page layout, making reading your content difficult. A standard error is not to pay enough attention to meta descriptions and titles. The titles and meta descriptions will be the first thing you see when you search the web. If you want your page to be at the top, you will need to spend more time crafting them.

These are some of the best tips and tricks for headings:

  • Use only one H1 tag per webpage; using more than one H1 tag can confuse both search spiders and human readers. If you use a blogging platform like WordPress, your title will typically have an H1 tag.
  • Include relevant keywords in your H2 or H3 tags. Make sure the content sounds natural and not SEO-stuffed.
  • Your primary keyword should be used in the H1 tag. However, don’t forget creativity and encourage readers to engage with your content.
  • Depending on the CMS or blog platform you use, you will need to determine how to modify your heading tags. It would help if you used CSS to define your heading tag styles rather than manually changing them.

Heading tags are intended to make your content easier to read and understand. SEO is all about the overall structure. Take your time to plan your content’s layout before you start creating it. It will make it easier to target the right content and improve your optimization.

USE THE POWER OF INTERNAL LINKING

Backlinks are often the first thing you think of when it comes to SEO. While backlinking is a powerful SEO strategy, you can’t ignore the power of internal links. Why?

Internal linking encourages visitors to read your content and spend more time engaging with it. The on-page SEO is best if your visitors spend more time on your page. You’ll also be improving their user experience.

 It’s a win-win situation.

Using internal links correctly can also help “sculpt” your PageRank, delivering maximum impact in search rankings.

It is essential to ensure that your primary content, articles, blog posts, and polls on your site have at least one link to an internal source page.

UPDATE YOUR OLD CONTENT

It is impossible to go wrong when you create new, high-quality content. Websites often forget to update old content. It’s already there, so why not make it even more relevant?

First, analyze what pieces of content are performing well in the past. Check their past engagements and linking status. This will let you know which content is eligible to be updated.

Second, look at the keywords used in the content. Do some research. Do they still have relevance? Are they becoming too competitive?

Answering these questions will help you determine if your content needs to be updated with keywords. A backlink strategy can also be beneficial to the piece’s performance.

INCREASE ORGANIC CLICK-THROUGH RATE

First, many people don’t understand organic click-through (CTR).

Let’s get rid of the stench once and for all.

The organic click-through rate (CTR) is the ratio between the number of searches for the exact term and the number of people who clicked on the organic results on search engine results pages.

This can help you improve your SEO and user experience. Many people believe they cannot control CTR.

Some of these tips can help increase your CTR. Think about it: When you visit a website, the title and meta description are the main factors that influence your decision to click on that page—researching your target audience to gain a better understanding of what language, tone, and even specific words they would use to click on your titles is essential.

INCREASE CONTENT QUALITY TO REDUCE BOUNCE RATE

One way to improve SEO is to focus on user metrics such as bounce rate. While many don’t believe Google measures bounce rate in ranking websites, it is a helpful indicator. These user metrics can be useful for understanding how users interact with your website.

It makes sense to increase your bounce rate if your content is not getting much traffic.

How can you achieve this goal?

Focus on improving content quality. Your visitors will be more likely to click through to other content if they find better articles/blog posts/whatever else they encounter through Google.

Your content should be educational, informative, consistent, creative, with examples, and properly connected. Your visitors should learn something new each time they read your content. Google’s algorithms have become more sophisticated than ever and can tell when your content is valuable. Linking to authoritative pages is one way to convey this essence to your content. Or, even better, getting classic pages to link back to you.

DO YOUR KEYWORD RESEARCH

As you can see, keywords were mentioned in nearly all of the points we have mentioned. Keywords are how your target audience will find you online. Your keywords should match visitors’ search terms to help them find you faster.

 It sounds simple. It’s not.

Google has made it easier to stuff your pages with keywords. The bright side is that no one likes to guess which keywords they should use. Go to your favorite website.

You can find long-tail variants of your keyword by looking at the related keywords and the questions filter.

A great addition to any piece is to include terms from Google Suggest.

To maximize your on-page SEO, you must include related keywords in your content. This will help to create a targeted theme. This will improve your ranking in the search engines and increase your chances of landing long-tail keywords. It will help your visitors find the best content.

It is essential to use keywords naturally. It is also important to consider the keyword volume. If you are a new website trying to crawl the search engines, it is advisable not to target keywords with high volumes.

Chapter8: Raise Brand Awareness and Drive Organic Traffic with these Off-Page SEO Techniques

You need to implement effective off-page SEO strategies if you want to increase brand awareness and drive massive organic traffic to your site.

LINK BUILDING IS KING.

Create and pursue quality links. This is the most important thing you need to know about links. SEO terms glossary states that “NoFollow” is an attribute webmaster may use to link to a website. It tells search engines to ignore the link. Social networks often use Nofollow links to link to external websites.

SOCIAL MEDIA POWER: HARNESS IT

Google may consider social signals when ranking a page. It would help if you won your audiences to make Google (or any other search engine) like you and rate you high.

Things to consider when activating social media

  1. Be responsive. People will talk about you when they are satisfied with your services, their feedback, or their dissatisfaction with your product. Be sensitive and reach out to your followers. Support can be provided via all channels, online and offline, on your support page, or social media.
  2. Keep an eye on your online reputation. Brand mentions are valuable assets for your business. As we have already stated, brand mentions count as links in Google’s search algorithm. Get a trusted brand monitoring tool to see who has mentioned you on social media. Use that opportunity to contact them and make them your clients or customers.

SUBSCRIBE TO RSS FEEDS

It is better to have fewer visitors who visit your site regularly than many people who only come once in a while. All reputable brands and blogs offer an RSS subscription box. RSS stands for Rich Site Summary. That sums it up. RSS boxes/stream RSS/channel, also known as a subscription box, make page data available in XML format. People click on the “subscribe” trigger word and enter their email addresses to get information without needing to search the internet.

DO NOT BE AFRAID TO COMMENT ON BLOGS.

Some argue it is too delicate to recommend as it could quickly become a black-hat practice. Blog commenting can be a tremendous off-site SEO activity, driving organic traffic to your site and improving your SERP ranking.

You can find much information online about how to comment on blogs properly. All you have to do is click one. The consensus is that you should do it “white-hat” and not use other tactics.

You can share your thoughts on subjects and draw attention to yourself, but you should not use a comment signature. Your brand should be mentioned in the body of helpful and relevant tips. Make your brand’s appearance there.

GUEST POSTING IS STILL A HOT THING.

Like blog commenting, it is essential to define your purpose for contributing clearly. Guest blogs are often used to promote a business or product and can sometimes lead to annoying and spammy reading. Fairness is key. Give actionable, relevant, and new information. Don’t worry about the links to your site.

FORUM POSTING – GIVE IT A SHOT.

Forums can be a great way to promote your site and are an essential part of off-page SEO. Reddit and Yahoo Answers are great places to find actionable information and accurate answers to your questions. Forums offer a great way to network with your peers and exchange ideas on topics that interest them.

It’s good to mention your brand in blog comments or guest blogging. However, avoid being too blunt. Provide some helpful information on the topic, then, if applicable, insert your brand into the dialogue. These Q&A forums are a gold mine, but you must win them first. Use the right tone, words, and style when posting a comment. Be relevant and transparent. These mediums, mainly when used properly, can help you get a lot more organic traffic to your site and converts if you’re lucky.

BUILD TRUST

Trust is a natural part of off-site SEO. This is how you get customers or social media votes. Transparency is a must in building Trust. Don’t deceive your readers by using catchy titles or low-quality content. This is not the way to build organic traffic.

Page Authority (PA), and Domain Authority (DA), are important indicators of search engines’ perceptions of your website. It’s almost like your entire life is before your eyes.

SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) is a security protocol that ensures your website and the user have a safe relationship. This link ensures that data between the web server (and browsers) remains secure and unharmed.

INCORPORATE IMAGES AND VIDEOS

People love to experiment and play, even if that means they have to do it another way. It features Snapchat, Instagram, and Facebook incorporation motion visuals that are projected onto the real-world, causing people to be fascinated. All this AR is linked to images and video. You should invest in video and pictures.

CREATE A SPARKLING BRAND IMAGE

Everyone wants more of the same thing. You need to think about what people want most and seize the chance to deliver. This is how customers will remember you and your uniqueness, utility, and, eventually, your greatness.

DOCUMENT SHARING IS GOOD FOR YOU.

You can rank for keywords that your website wouldn’t usually be able to compete for by sharing content about your brand to other platforms. Upload your content to Scribd, Academia, and SlideShare if you feel it would interest others.

The documents should be treated as a piece of content. Do keyword research and optimize them. Titles, file names, transcripts. If it is possible, place a call-to-action as well as links back to your site whenever appropriate.

These platforms allow you to post documents, but search engines can’t crawl them. However, these sites make them readable. You can also borrow link juice from your website, another tremendous benefit.

Like written documents, create podcasts, videos, and audio on your brand topic, then upload them to SoundCloud or YouTube with a transcript. This transcript will help search engine crawlers find your content faster.

Chapter9: Local Advertising Tips That Will Work for Your Painting Business

Did you know that 46% of online searches are “proximity-based?” Also, people want to know the closest thing to them. You know it would be a waste of time if someone from another country found you. On the other hand, local advertising will allow you to reach your target market.

LET’S TAKE A LOOK AT EFFECTIVE ADVERTISING STRATEGIES FOR YOUR PAINTING COMPANY:

ADVERTISE ON THE LOCAL NEWS SITE

While many people access their news online, many still rely on local news. This is especially true for people who want to be informed about what’s happening in their locality. Local news sites are the best place to get this type of information. Advertise on local news sites to take advantage of this attention. Advertisements that you place will include a mention of your location.

REGISTER LOCAL LISTINGS AND VERIFY

Another way to get more people to know about your painting business is to list it on local directories. You’ll be found more often by search engines if you create and verify local listings in various places. You have two options for creating local business listings: manually or with a service.

CHECK THAT YOUR GOOGLE MY BUSINESS LISTING IS CORRECT

You should immediately create a Google My Business listing if you have not done so. It’s a potent tool. Google My Business is free and will help you promote your business to people searching for painting contractors. You should check the details of your Google My Business listing to verify that it is correct. Google My Business provides information such as where you are and what you do.

CREATE BRANDED CONTENT FOR THE LOCAL NEWS

Local news will accept branded content in addition to their regular news content. Branded content is videos you create that teach viewers more. You will need to tell the camera who you are and what your job entails as a paint contractor. As people learn from your content, they will appreciate it.

Chapter10: Best Tactical Strategies for Local SEO for Painters

GOOGLE MY BUSINESS OPTIMIZATIONS

It is essential for the front-end Google My Business of a painter.

Let’s take a look at it.

What is the importance of Google My Business profiles for painters? Google My Business profiles can be used as ranking factors in the Google Local Pack.

Optimizing Google My Business will help you be found. You win when you are found there. Your competitors get more website visitors and phone calls than you do.

How can you optimize Google My Business for the Google Local Pack to be found?

Optimizing your Google My Business is as easy as offering as much detailed information. You can provide detailed information in many sections, including:

  • Choose your categories
  • Photos
  • Your main description
  • Your products
  • Your services

This is a brief example to show the difference between being complete and being incomplete:

You might be tempted to write the following sentence for your main description: “We are a group of painters committed to quality and detail.”

It sounds great. Google allows you to use 750 characters in your main description. These characters are your best friend! Are you able to offer both indoor and outdoor painting services? Are you a specialist in residential painting? Are you able to provide a variety of brands of paint along with your services?

It is possible to be more thorough by answering every question.

ON-PAGE SEO FOR YOUR WEBSITE AND LOCATION PAGES

On-page SEO is a fancy way to refer to your website’s content.

It also includes:

  • Your title tags
  • Your meta description
  • Your header tags (H1, H2, H3)
  • External and internal links
  • Images
  • You can put anything on a website page!

Why is on-page SEO important for painters? Because Google cares.

The homepage is the most important page for single-location painters. It’s a local SEO perspective. Multi-location painters will find your location pages to be the essential pages of your website.

These pages should be SEO-friendly through keywords. You must also provide as much information to the user as possible (and Google) when you implement on-page SEO.

WEBSITE BUILT

This is a great painting SEO strategy for painters. Your sitemap and website architecture are closely connected.

Google crawls your sitemap to understand the architecture of your website. This allows Google to determine what your website is all about.

Google might show you a sitemap.

It’s a little confusing. It’s not essential to dwell too much on it. Google will look at this sitemap and decide what your website is all about. This is crucial for local SEO.

Your website should be organized hierarchically. Let’s look at two primary services painters offer: 1) Exterior painting and 2) Interior painting.

These pages should be located on your website in the following locations: You should have a ” services ” page that uses the same URL structure as .com/services/.

All services you offer (such as exterior and interior painting), should be listed under this main services page. Below:

  • .com/services/exterior-painting
  • .com/services/interior-painting

Although this may seem obvious, many websites fail to do the right thing and ignore the importance of vertical architecture. Every page is located directly below the homepage. Below:

  • .com/services/
  • .com/exterior-painting/
  • .com/interior-painting/
  • .com/concrete-and-floor-coatings/

Google cannot see that this structure indicates that “Exterior Painting,” a service you offer, is what it is. It’s another page on your website!

CONTENT CREATION AT SCALE

This is the fun part. Home and business owners daily search for thousands of questions on Google.

Some of these are very local:

  • Best paint products in Portland
  • Best deck stain options for Portland

Some are general:

  • Is it possible to paint over the wallpaper?
  • How do you paint a ceiling?
  • Can vinyl siding be painted?
  • What is the area that a gallon of paint covers?

These questions can be answered through detailed blog articles on your site. This will accomplish two things:

  1. These keywords can help you rank high on Google and drive traffic.
  2. Google will see your website’s authority and recognize your efforts. Google will say, “Wow, they answer all the painting-related queries users search for.” Their website is worth more than local competitors that haven’t answered any questions.

USER EXPERIENCE – FOCUS ON IT!

The days of old are gone. Link building… Keyword stuffing… All the stuff needed to work.

Google’s getting smarter. Google is starting to recognize that a visitor’s experience on a website can be essential.

What does it mean for you like a painting business?

  • Make it easy to find the information you need.
  • Make it easy to contact you. You should have your phone number clickable from a mobile device. An online estimate tool is an excellent idea for the cost of a paint job. Any tool that makes the user’s life easier.

It would help if you offered value to your reader when writing content: no more outsourcing writers who create vague, keyword-stuffed articles. Your content must answer all the questions of the user and provide value.

Chapter11: How to Update Old Blog Posts for More SEO Juice

SEO is 1000% more effective than social media in driving traffic to your website. SEO is not just about creating new content that is SEO-friendly. It’s possible to take older blog posts and make them current – that’s what today’s topic will be about.

THIS IS HOW TO UPDATE OLD BLOG POSTS FOR MORE SEO JUICE:

FIND THE BLOGS THAT NEED YOUR HELP

First, you will need to locate the blogs that need the most painting SEO help. Google Search Console is a tool that can help you do this. Google Search Console allows you to look at your posts over time and see what they’ve done.

If you notice a blog that was popular but is now getting fewer clicks or views, it likely needs to be updated. You can also add a blog to your list if it is a blog you thought would be successful but didn’t… Blogs that do well over time are those you won’t want to keep updating.

REFRESH OLD BAD LINKS

Every blog article that you write will have links. Links that take you to other sites are not what we mean. However, sometimes sites that were there a year ago may not be available today. It’s not as if the site owners send emails informing people they will remove their site.

Check to make sure the links work when you can update your website. Google and other search engines can detect wrong links on pages and help to lower their ranking.

ADD MEDIA

Blogs were created many years ago by people who cared more about words than any other aspect. It’s much easier to add media content to blogs than before because of how fast people can access the internet.

Though most videos will come from Youtube, these can be images or videos. People might be reading your blog via their phones. It is essential to avoid using images too large in size. Otherwise, people will not bother to wait for them to load.

REPLACE OLD MEDIA

Older blogs can have images, but how good is that? It is worth checking out other blogs to determine if the images you use are acceptable. To aid in SEO, you should also use alt tags on all images.

IF APPROPRIATE, CHANGE THE YEAR IN THE TITLE.

You can easily update old blogs by changing the year in your title. You will also need to update your material. If you say you have 2019 kitchen color ideas, you can change them to 2022. But not for a blog that focuses on 2019’s color trends. You can’t change the year because the content wouldn’t be correct.

CHECK THAT THE CONTENT IS YEAR-APPROPRIATE

You must also ensure that the year changes are reflected in the content. Are there better ways to update the year?

Let’s use the example we used earlier. The color trends for your kitchen in 2019 won’t be the same as those in 2022. So don’t change the year. Instead, link old content to the 2022 color trends. This way, people can not only read about the color trends of previous years but also have easy access to new content on color trends.

DO NOT CHANGE THE URL

What should you not change about your older blogs? The URL. It’s possible not to change something, which is more accessible than changing it. But it’s worthwhile knowing why. Your blogs are linked together by search engines using the link you created or created.

The index will be affected by the change to the link and must be corrected. This will affect the search engine ranking of your blog articles and negate the purpose of updating them for SEO. All that SEO juice will be lost!

Chapter12: Biggest SEO Mistakes Painting Contractors Make with Their Website

Your website should do two things for you as a painting contractor: get you discovered online and get potential clients to fill out a form. Your website must be found online by Google searches. You must practice painting SEO services to ensure your website searches well.

SEO is no longer a mysterious practice or something that can be ignored like it was five to ten years ago. However, there are still common mistakes being made by contractors when it comes down to their websites. Here are the most common errors and some tips to help you recover.

SETTING IT UP AND FORGETTING.

Many websites we see were built more than three to five years ago and haven’t been updated since. This is a severe mistake. Google likes freshness. Google wants to see you are active. Google will see that your website is not up-to-date and sends a message to Google that your business is not active. This can negatively impact your search engine results.

Your website is not an endpoint or a single event. It is a journey. When was the most recent time your website was updated?

It’s time to update if it’s been over six months. Check out your website. Is there something that has changed in the way you do business? Do you still offer the same services?

Your website should have updated photos—that highlight essential jobs you have completed and pictures that are not the same as those on your site. Set a reminder that you will post something new at least once per month – new photos and an update to your homepage.

NOT ENOUGH CONTENT

Google considers quality content the number one factor in organic search results. They strive to deliver the best quality and most relevant results to their users. They determine quality by how much content they have and relevance by keywords and closely-related keywords.

One-page websites are not enough. Google expects you to show your expertise. It’s not easy to do this with just one page. What number of pages do you have on your website? You will need to add more if your answer is less than five.

Each of your services should have its page. You can create pages for interior and exterior house painting. You may already have these, but you might be able to get more specific with a cabinet or kitchen painting page.

You must ensure that every page contains quality content that shows your expertise. It will not help to add five pages with only two sentences each. It is essential to provide relevant content for people searching for these services.

NOT HIGHLIGHTING AREAS

There is a good chance that you are serving multiple cities and towns. Do you represent all those towns and cities on your website?

We see too many websites of painting contractors. It’s hard to find the right one. This is not good. It should be easy to find the areas you serve on your website.

Every search for local services, such as painting, is a local one. Google won’t show your website in search results for people searching for painting contractors in these cities or towns if you don’t send signals to Google.

Your website should include multiple locations for your target towns and cities. How can you do this well?

You can include them in your header if the number of cities or towns you serve exceeds five or if you want to highlight only five. They should be included in areas that make sense for your content. A list can be added to your footer. Captions for photos can consist of information about the job.

A page dedicated to each town or city is another great way to showcase your services. These pages should be as specific as possible to each city or town. Mention landmarks. Photos of jobs you have done in the city or town are good. Highlight the most popular services in the city.
