Swedish-licensed gambling companies generate SEK 6.66bn in Q3 turnover

Spelinspektionen, the Swedish Gambling Authority, has released financial results for the gambling industry in the country during the third quarter of 2024. For Swedish-licensed gambling companies, total turnover during the third quarter reached SEK 6.66bn ($0.61bn), representing a decrease of 1.2% year-on-year, while compared to Q2 2024, represents a drop of 3.4%. Read the full story here.

Flutter Q3 results: Revenue up 27%; net loss narrows to $150m

Flutter Entertainment has reported its financial results for the third quarter of 2024. In total, revenue came to $3.25bn, up 27% year-on-year, while adjusted EBITDA reached $450m, up 74%. Growth in revenue was somewhat offset by an increase in sales costs, which increased 26.4% year-on-year to $1.75bn. However, the quarter saw Flutter report an operating profit, making $97m compared to last year’s loss of $137m. Read the full story here.

Philippine gaming industry generates PHP94.61bn in GGR for Q3

The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) has released financial figures for the third quarter of 2024 concerning the gaming industry in the country. Overall gross gaming revenue (GGR) for the Philippine gaming industry in the third quarter reached PHP94.61bn (US$1.61bn), representing an increase of 37.52% year-on-year. Among the four major sectors in the gaming industry in the country, only electronic games saw growth compared to the same period last year, rising a very significant 464.38% to PHP35.71bn. Read the full story here.
