Problem gambling in UK adults falls to 0.2% for 2022, according to BGC

The Betting and Gaming Council (BGC) has highlighted figures used by the Gambling Commission that show problem gambling among adults in the UK has fallen to 0.2% for 2022. The previous year (2021) had seen rates sit at 0.3%; however, news that the level has dropped again means the UK’s problem gambling levels are below international standards, according to the research. Flutter Entertainment reports 27% revenue increase for full year 2022

Flutter Entertainment has reported revenue of £7.69bn ($9.21bn) for the year ended 31 December 2022, a 27% increase from the prior-year period. EBITDA also climbed by 27% year-on-year to £918m. The group highlighted its US operations ( FanDuel ) in particular, with 50% fourth quarter market share and Maryland and Ohio representing its most successful launches to date. "Leveraging our number one FanDuel brand we had a record Super Bowl and have acquired over 1.2m customers in 2023 so far, " said CEO Peter Jackson. Read the full story here.

NeoGames Studio , an end-to-end #iLottery and #iGaming solutions provider, has launched its first iLottery and online sports betting solution in Brazil with Keno Loteria . Macau marks 33% annual rise in February

Macau recorded gross gaming revenue (GGR) of MOP$10.32bn (US$1.27bn) for February. The result marks a 33% increase against February 2022 but 41% lower than February 2019 and also lower than January 2023. The results show that Macau is recovering from the effects of the pandemic and China’s subsequent zero-Covid policy, which decimated footfall across the region and was further hindered by constant lockdowns to stop the spread of the disease.
