Giving is better then receiving

Every year at about this time I start promoting an event I help chair around the holiday season. I attempt to raise funds to help pay for groceries that we use to hand out to about 2,000 homeless people just before Christmas. We have been doing this event for over 38 years. Each year it is more difficult as we get more and more families attending and we try and raise enough money to go to the San Diego Food Bank and purchase the right product to donate to the homeless. The Party is targeted for children and each child receives a gift, treats and leaves with one or two bags of groceries. I am here today writing this article in hope that you can reach into your wallets and donate whatever you feel is comfortable.
