Giving to those in need.

Dear LinkedIn friends and family:

I love Christmas as much as anyone. It is my favorite time of year. However I have a request. Each year I donate to many organizations and schools that are in need of help. However my concern this year are those around us. We forget that not everyone is fortunate. My request is you call a school whether it is close by or the one your children go to. Just because you may live in a nice neighborhood it does not mean that someone or maybe many are not in need of help for the holidays. I urge you to call and ask how you can help. Many schools have families who need almost everything. I just spoke with one of the employees at the school who organizes a Christmas program. She collect things that have been donated new or gently used and then lets the families in need come in and choose the items they need from the donated items people like you and I have donated. I would appreciate if you share this with you friends on Linked In. I want everyone to have a Merry Christmas.

This holiday is a true reflection of the ultimate gift given. If Christ can give his only son surely we can all reach out and touch one person in need. Thank you Marlana for your post. Respectfully, Hermanda Taylor, Interim Hospice, Atlanta
