The Global Class Actions Symposium Returns to London for 2023
6 March 2023, London - Global Legal Group has confirmed that the Global Class Actions Symposium 2023 will be taking place on 13th and 14th November at the De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London and broadcast live online.
Following a highly successful edition in Amsterdam in November 2022, the Symposium will continue to bring together specialists from across the globe to discuss and debate the hottest topics in the class actions space.
Andrew Mizner, Editor of Commercial Dispute Resolution magazine and compere of the 2022 Symposium, says:
“Over the past three years, the Symposium has reflected a cultural shift in favour of large-scale collective actions in the UK and Europe, while learning lessons from the experienced class actions lawyers and service providers in the US and elsewhere.
“With more and more collective actions being filed in the UK, and with the European Commission pushing EU members to hurry up and introduce their own regimes, the global class actions market will only continue to grow.

The agenda has been curated to provide a cross-border overview of the major talking points in collective redress, with a particular focus on process and regulation, including the new EU Directive on Representative Actions.
Day one of the Symposium will take our audience through the lifecycle of a class action. Our speakers will share their experiences from building the class, funding, certification and case management, before moving on to the calculation and payment of damages and settlements.
On the final day, speakers will discuss and debate claims from the fields of competition, the environment, consumer protection, Big Tech, and finance and securities.
