A Global Effort to Eliminate Cervical Cancer
According to World Health Organisation statistics 311,000 women died from cervical cancer in 2018, a disease which they have deemed preventable.
So much so that they have put together a draft global strategy to achieve this aim, which was supposed to be put to the World Health Assembly in May 2020.
That presentation may have been delayed in the current climate, but I wanted to take a look at just how achievable that goal is by identifying where in the world the companies are that are producing screening tests for HPV and cervical cancer.
