THE DIRECTOR

Film director Roberto Fischer

Roberto Fischer is a multi-award-winning German-Italian filmmaker, musician, composer, photographer, and journalist.

His career spans four decades; he has produced films, documentaries, and countless ads for international companies and TV stations around the globe. He credits his success to always being able to “distinguish good dynamic pictures from worthless scrap.”

In recent years, Roberto Fischer has focused on producing feature documentaries about indigenous tribes, their ancient traditions, and vanishing cultures.

Roberto believes that in the face of modern civilization, we are all challenged to rethink our relationship with the environment, especially with indigenous cultures. He states with conviction that, “If we lose the natives, if we lose one animal species after the other, we lose nature. And in the end, we lose our planet. Stop eating money, stop wars, stop producing senseless things, and put more effort into preserving the place we all live in. After all, this Earth is the only planet in our galaxy that supports life.”
