God becomes your umbrella to save you

God becomes your umbrella to save you

I have experienced God's helping hand on my head when I suffered a massive heart attack on board an international flight which was about to take off, but due to my sudden breathlessness the cabin crew stopped closing the doors and called for medical help, fortunately for me the cabin crew had the emergency medicines like Sorbitrate and Aspirin tablets with them which really helped me stabilise and I could hold till I was admitted to a hospital and my life was saved. As I was having the worst ever chest pain I had experienced in my life, I was never thinking that I am going to die soon only because my trust in my God and for all the good karmas I have done in my life, I could feel God's had on my head and luckily he gave me a new lease of life.

God has never done anything with me other than helping me every time I was in crisis I felt. As I have struggled through the challenges of life I have prayed and asked God for comfort, for strength to endure, and for wisdom to solve difficult problems, and I have had those prayers answered in very real and personal ways. As I have struggled to repent and free my life from sin I have prayed and asked God for forgiveness and mercy and have received them.

I have felt my guilt and pain swept away and felt hope and peace restored to my soul. I have also asked him to help me change and forsake my old ways and be more obedient to his commandments. He has helped me abandon old sins and old habits and live the more joyful way of obedience to his commandments. Some temptations that used to be terribly difficult for me are no longer tempting or enticing. He is changing so my heart so that I lose the desire for sinful things.

Through these and many other experiences I have come to know with absolutely certainty that God is real, that he loves me, and that he wants to help me. He is my Father and I am his Son. I have also come to know that receiving help from God requires some effort on our part. God gives us commandments because he loves us and wants to help us. It is by obeying his commandments that we qualify ourselves to receive the help he is offering to us, and indeed pleading with us to receive.

I have also learned some things about God’s character. He is loving, kind, merciful, compassionate, forgiving, slow to anger, just, and totally good, pure, and holy. He is unchanging, he is no respecter of persons which means he deals with every single person according to the exact same fixed set of laws and principles. He is all-knowing, perfectly wise, and he reveals truth and gives counsel and guidance to people on earth in order to help them. He is totally honest and always speaks the truth. He cannot lie. He is also powerful and he is willing to use his power to help and bless people. I know that these things I have said are true.

I feel in my heart that God has helped me and I feel that God has given me signs, that that others would call mere coincidences. For example, when my spirits are low and my faith is weak God will provide a small reassurance. I have looked up, because I literally walk with my head down, and have seen a sticker on a car window that read: “God is real”. I won't go on about that because there are too many people that would accuse me of being superstitious, or mentally ill. All I can say is whether it be a bumper sticker, or a song on the radio telling me everything will be alright just at the perfect moment, I have felt such a strong emotional reaction at these times, that it has to be more than coincidence. I believe God cares. I believe God gives us signs, we just have to have an open mind and learn how to read them. God has helped me to become a better person and motivated me to help others in need. Stay blessed! #kishoreshintre #possessedbywritingspirit
