God's Love We Deliver helps vets

(Okay, my role in this is minor, but I wound up doing something actually useful, and you rarely see me in a hair net.) (actually, never)

God's Love We Deliver seriously helps people with good fresh meals who might otherwise find it really difficult. They were formed during the worst of the AIDS crisis, have done a lot of good, and continue to do a lot of good.

Lots more details here, but here's the deal:

We were honored to host U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Secretary Denis McDonough and U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand this week to brief them on our medically tailored meal program and our CONNECTED program for veterans. God's Love We Deliver cooks and home-delivers delicious, nutritious meals for New Yorkers living with severe and chronic illness.
This year, God's Love will deliver nearly 3.5 million medically tailored meals to 11,000 individuals affected by serious illness.
We have served veterans since our founding in 1985, but recognizing the distinctive needs of the population, with seed money from craigslist founder Craig Newmark, in 2022 we launched our CONNECTED program to meet the unique needs of the veteran community who are so often impacted by food and nutrition insecurity, severe illness, and mental/behavioral issues such as PTSD, bipolar disorder, severe depression, and others.

This year, God’s Love We Deliver will cook and home-deliver 140,000 medically tailored meals to 600 veterans and their children and caregivers.

Hip hip, beret. Sorry, I'm late to this convo. I was learning about Cuba, and having some food. I didn't expect to stumble on this post, but I'd love to explain a unique opportunity with a global non-profit and if that bores you I believe I can prove I'm trapped in a Seinfeld episode.
