Going Broad Usually Isn’t A Great Startup Strategy
During this week’s roundtable, we had as our guest William Hsu, Co-founder, Partner at Mucker Capital, a Los Angeles-based fund that invests largely outside Silicon Valley and follows a more fundamentals oriented approach.
You can listen to the recording of this roundtable here:
True TRP
As for the pitches, first, Ramkumar R S from Mumbai, India, pitched True TRP, a content monetization platform.
Amascope
Next, Catalin Lesscu from San Francisco, CA, pitched Amascope, a film-based promotional service for marketing books.
Menting
Then Damayanti Bandopadhyay from Gurgaon, India, pitched Menting, a platform for mentoring on specific topics. I advised her not to go as broad as she was planning to. Focusing on a niche would be a much better approach for her venture.
As always, I would very much like to hear about your business, so let me invite you to come and pitch at one of our free 1M/1M public roundtables. We will be holding future roundtables at 8 a.m. PST on:
