Month in Review
The Month of March Throughout the Month of March, we have been very busy with the Career Ready Cohort Professional Development Program with participants ranging from military spouses to veterans. This month, we are working towards our goal of 150 veteran matches for our Veteran Pen Pal Project program. April is just around the corner, which means Month of the Military Child is coming up! Lot of exciting events and activity here at IML!
It's a Military Connection's Career Ready Cohort - Throughout this cohort experience participants will have more professional skills, hands-on experiences, and a supportive network that will give you a voice as a member of the military community.
They will feel confident with resume development, networking, modern workplace technology, and other important career professional development skills.
Google Classroom is the hub for learning and experience. Here they will find learning objectives, supporting course materials, and deliverables.
Each day they have access to virtual events to join scheduled meetings, guest speaker events, and collaboration meet ups. Speakers range from experts like Brian Niswander of MilitaryTransition.org to Leslie Coffey of ACP. Many more incredible speakers will be either LIVE via Facebook.com/groups/itsamilitaryconnection or presenting during our Zoom sessions.
Course materials and deliverables are aimed at exposing participants to workflow management, technology, and communication tools as well as supporting the development of key resources necessary in today's competitive job market.
After successfully completing the course, they will have access to the Career Fair at the end of the program to meet prospective employers and to grow their network!
