Good Repairmen and Good Salesmen Never Go Hungry!

Good Repairmen and Good Salesmen Never Go Hungry!

My Brother Pat came up with some great sayings. I don't know where he got them, but they always resonated with me. For example:

"Never criticize a man until you've walked a mile in his shoes. That way when you do criticize him, you'll be a mile away and have his shoes."

"A friend is someone who bails you out of jail. A best friend is someone who sits next to you and says, "Man, that was fun!"

"Honesty is not a issue in politics...it's a miracle!"

My personal favorite is "Good repairmen and good salesmen never go hungry." If you are in the world of sales you are doing a bit of both: you are selling and often times you are helping repair problems your customers encounter.

My definition of a professional, any professional - whether in sales, healthcare, service, or athletics is this: A professional is good, knows she's good, and knows why she's good. That last segment is so important: knows why she's good. If you know why you are a good salesperson, you can continue to develop and sharpen your skills in order to produce at the highest levels.

What are you doing to sharpen your skills? Are you getting ready for 2019? Are you preparing to make it your best sales year yet? If you are seeking ways to become more 'dangerous' than you are now, contact Bryan at bryan@flanagantraining.com. You'll be glad you did.

And the last one from Brother Pat, "If you can't sell 'em, confuse 'em!"
