Growing the edge of being human
What if humans are designed to be high-trust, authentic, informal, collaborative but are forced to live in a low-trust, fake, formal, competitive world?
The superior performance of kindergarten graduates in the Spaghetti and Marshmallow game would seem to confirm this:
A "call" (build) on this theme from Caroline Griffiths:
- What if there is no such thing as trust, just dependency?
- What if trust is a social construct for conditioning behaviour?
And my "response":
- And therefore trust itself is autopoetic, a characteristic or state of alignment with a belief system lifeform with its requisite properties of heterophily and homophily. A meme spider within a conditioning and reinforcing cultural web (and note serendipitous discovery with aligned organisation):
This certainly chimes with Ben Ford's comments about Trust being Einheit = Unity, in response to my blog where I analyse human concepts of trust using NIST cyber security framework, while delving into the playbook of National Socialism:
If true what are the implications for leadership, politics, mental health, diversity and inclusion, autism and neurodiversity, the cultivation of our YOUnique gifts?

Postscript Proverbs:27
Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.
Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips.
A stone is heavy, and the sand weighty; but a fool's wrath is heavier than them both.
Wrath is cruel, and anger is outrageous; but who is able to stand before envy?
Open rebuke is better than secret love.
Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.
The full soul loatheth an honeycomb; but to the hungry soul every bitter thing is sweet.
As a bird that wandereth from her nest, so is a man that wandereth from his place.
Ointment and perfume rejoice the heart: so doth the sweetness of a man's friend by hearty counsel.
Thine own friend, and thy father's friend, forsake not; neither go into thy brother's house in the day of thy calamity: for better is a neighbour that is near than a brother far off.
My son, be wise, and make my heart glad, that I may answer him that reproacheth me.
A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself; but the simple pass on, and are punished.
Take his garment that is surety for a stranger, and take a pledge of him for a strange woman.
He that blesseth his friend with a loud voice, rising early in the morning, it shall be counted a curse to him.
A continual dropping in a very rainy day and a contentious woman are alike.
Whosoever hideth her hideth the wind, and the ointment of his right hand, which bewrayeth itself.
Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.
Whoso keepeth the fig tree shall eat the fruit thereof: so he that waiteth on his master shall be honoured.
As in water face answereth to face, so the heart of man to man.
Hell and destruction are never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied.
As the fining pot for silver, and the furnace for gold; so is a man to his praise.
Though thou shouldest bray a fool in a mortar among wheat with a pestle, yet will not his foolishness depart from him.
Be thou diligent to know the state of thy flocks, and look well to thy herds.
For riches are not for ever: and doth the crown endure to every generation?
The hay appeareth, and the tender grass sheweth itself, and herbs of the mountains are gathered.
The lambs are for thy clothing, and the goats are the price of the field.
And thou shalt have goats' milk enough for thy food, for the food of thy household, and for the maintenance for thy maidens.

4yChristopher ⌘ Patten LION 🐅 I hear see the confusion the pain not only sense but taste, smell and feel it constantly around us .. I see the struggle eternal searching unable to find because their is no common language there is no common agreement just the constant noises the deafening din of confusion. Out of this we need to extract something but that something is not what is on people's minds is not simple even if simple and if simple it will be a disappointment? So it has to be complex mystically or cosmically hidden and being human they chase the fairies, Goblins , even THE BORG, become Knights or Don Quixote, or Jedi some overcome b the Dark of The Force.. all experiencing what comes into their minds chasing not just through rabbits warrens but through mystic and cosmic and wormholes ending up in astroid belts exposed battered hurt many in the process obliterated, or starving to death lost in the rabbits warren each to their own.. Secretly they seek to be the Harry Potter's searching for the Pensieve not just to extract memories but to extract the insight - Question even if extracted will they recognise what needs to be seen?? No taking a cold shower http://bit.ly/2Q2Q38u "Progressively working with Psychometrics, what became apparent, are the differences and more so, the similarities between people once we have removed the differences. Yet we give preferences to the differences. Despite differences in cultural upbringing, language, gender, religious beliefs, education level, or wealth, essentially, people are all the same. All of the differences are just noise that confuses a person, reinforced by biases which we are born into, and which many actively cultivate, to preserve how they want to perceive and experience life. This is done to establish their individuality. The question though is where should that Individuality extend to? Where is the point where that reinforcing of Individuality negatively impacts one's own potentials for success? Question is if it is the fallout caused by God, when He brought confusion amongst men whilst building the Tower of Babel, by changing the languages of people. Could such a simple thing, as language cause such a disruption, that until today it still has a ripple effect? Instead of celebrating that frustration, and the diversity that it brings, man only again seek to fight it, in not so many obvious ways, while trying to rebuild that Tower of Babel in their businesses. The languages frustrating them, as the purpose and stances are all wrong in how they approach it? Although the Quran does not mention this event, they have reference to Language through tribes Surat Al-Hujurat [49:13]: O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Strikingly there is the end bit that says "THAT YOU MAY KNOW ONE ANOTHER"

4yGreat article Christopher ⌘ Patten LION 🐅 As you say lighthearted radicalism. :) I should confirm for my network that anything predicated with “What if” is my way of triggering exploratory and disruptive thought as opposed to being a fixed belief. One of the beauties of working with GrowingtheEdge which contains a network of such diverse and deep expertise is that we have no fear of provocative thought and in fact seem to relish every opportunity to deepen our understanding and broaden our thinking, as opposed to being a group shaped and bound by fixed beliefs. All comments made within all episodes and articles should be viewed with the spirit of pushing the boundaries and exploring new thinking.
