A Guide To Successful Job Interview.

A Guide To Successful Job Interview.

Preparing for a job interview and feeling nervous?

I know the feeling, been there and done it all. Right or wrong ? You name it !

But don't worry :)

I've got you covered with a comprehensive guide to help you ace your next interview!

Research about the company:

Utilize your phone to search the company it will take less than 10 minutes of your time. But it will benefit you and you will thank me later :)

It is important to understand company's values, mission and culture to show your genuine interest in the organization.

Practice common interview questions:

Sounds boring or too much? Lets make it fun !!

Ask your friends/family members to volunteer as interviewer. This will make the whole experience fun also you will get an idea where you stand and what questions you need to practice more.

Questions can be basic to detailed such as:

"Tell us about yourself"

"Tell us about your strengths and weakness"

"Tell us about a difficult situation you handled at work"

"Why should we hire you ?"

Practice your responses to ensure you come across as well-prepared.

Relax and be confident !

On the Interview day !

Feeling all the feeling at once !

Be Yourself -

Don't worry, be calm and composed (imagine you have aced the interview already) this helps trust me.

Dressing professionally:

Choose an outfit that is suitable for the company's dress code and reflects your professionalism.

Punctuality is key:

Plan your route in advance and aim to arrive at least 10-15 minutes early to show your commitment and respect for the interviewer's time.

Highlight your relevant skills and experiences:

Make sure to discuss in details about your skills and experiences that align with the job requirements. Provide specific examples to demonstrate your capabilities and achievements.

Ask thoughtful questions:

Prepare a list of questions to ask the interviewer about the company. Asking thoughtful questions shows your interest in the position and company.

Last but not the least:

Don't forget to send thankyou email.

This will make you stand out compared to other candidates!!

If a company has taken the time to interview you, the vast majority of them probably wouldn’t scoff at a ‘thank you for taking the time’ email.

Worst case scenario? You don’t get the job, but it’s likely not because of saying thank you.

You can say something like:

Subject line: Thank You – (Insert role) Interview

Hi XXX,

Just wanted to say thank you for having a chat with me earlier today. I really enjoyed our discussion and am even more eager to join the team!

Your views on organization and productivity stood out to me and set you apart from other businesses I’ve worked with.

Thanks again for the opportunity to meet.

All the best,

Signature

It’ll help you stand out from other more generic emails the hiring manager is bound to receive.

All the best !
