Hack Space Con
Our team at TCM Security have been so busy traveling to conferences that I haven't had a chance to share much about my experience from the Hack Space Con at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex in Florida that the fantastic team at RedSeer Security put together last week.
In fact, it was such an amazing experience I had to write a LinkedIn article to fit everything I wanted to say.
First, I want to shout out and thank you to Ken Nevers , Zachary S Stashis , Daniel Niefeld , and Kevin Velasquez for putting this conference together, and all of the volunteers that helped make the conference happen. Alyson Van Stone, MBA , Jason Griffis , Regen Peterson
I hope everyone involved with putting the conference together or who was in attendance walked away thinking they had a once-in-a-lifetime experience as we did.
This entire experience will stick with me and I will remember it forever. I am so thankful and honored to have been able to attend and share this experience with so many amazing people I genuinely look up to and fangirl over myself. The Red Seer Team has a noble mission that aligns with everything we are doing at TCM Security, and it was so amazing to be surrounded by so many like-minded individuals from the hosts, speakers, volunteers, and of course, the amazing attendees that I got to meet for the first time( Jason Haddix , Lily Clark , Nicholas S. ) and especially being able meet a couple of our PCRP students, Sandie Hazelwood and Costel A. and it's always great to reconnect with old friends Ayub Yusuf , Don Donzal , Daniel Lowrie <3
I loved the entire message behind the conference. From the moment we were approached about sponsoring, having a booth there, and most exciting, having the opportunity to present a soft skills workshop with the legendary Heath Adams at the Kennedy Space Center, it seems so surreal looking back at it now. Seeing some of the feedback from the workshop on social media has honestly been heartwarming and so much appreciated and valued. I've done panel talks before, but nothing like this experience, so knowing at least a few people walked away learning something is everything I could ask for. Alyson Van Stone, MBA and Jason Griffis you were both so extremely helpful for me during that presentation, thank you so much for being there!
This was also our first experience having a booth and attending a conference as a vendor, which again I cannot express how amazing of an experience that was from start to finish. Adriana Boulos Heath, and myself had all been preparing for a different conference that was starting 2 days after Hack Space, so being able to pivot and prepare everything was definitely a fun time(slight sarcasm). Being on the other side of a booth at a conference where people who knew not only the person sitting next to me(Heath Adams) but came up to the booth because they recognized me truly blew me away. As an introvert, it was honestly an experience that I was not prepared for. I'm currently putting together a video to talk about that portion of the experience because I believe it is that valuable of a topic to talk about. I am so thankful for everyone who came up to the booth to say hello, grab a picture with us, and especially to those who shared their stories about how we changed their lives. Simply put, you are the reason that we are able to do what we do AND why it's so important to us to maintain affordable/obtainable education.
Then of course there were so many partnerships on the rise with amazing organizations like Latinas In Cyber and Raíces Cyber Org that I am definitely looking forward to. These organizations have some absolutely phenomenal people working together and we're incredibly proud to assist in any way that we can!
I wanted to tag everyone I saw and spoke with and would feel like a jerk if I missed anyone, so I apologize if I missed you, but please feel free to comment below. It was so busy, and so much was going on. There was also my own social anxiety that I was dealing with, and there were people there that I never got a chance to speak with or even introduce myself to. Phillip Wylie , Charles Shirer

Overall the entire experience is something that I will honestly remember for the rest of my life. There were so many cherished memories I will have from attending this conference and I really hope we can do it again next year!
Thank you so much to everyone who helped make this happen!

1yOhhh I like this linkedin article feature! Great idea, especially when writing about something like this conference. I have like 5 separate posts going instead, lol. So many wonderful people to mention and experiences to share. Could not agree more that Hack Space Con was seriously so awesome. And thanks for the nice shout-outs here Zach Hill! I had no idea it was TCM Security's first time with a booth, how exciting! It looked great. And again, your workshop was fantastic. All the work you do is noticed and appreciated by so many in the cybersecurity community, especially newbies like me. Keep up the great job with your YouTube channel and at TCM. You really are helping to improve the lives of so many!
