H.A.I.R - Building in Public, Week 14

Hello H.A.I.R fans

It's been a busy old week in the H.A.I.R Community, so I wanted to send you all my regular update.

genAssess

I'm adding a space into my 'building in public' journey to give some 'behind the scenes' on genAssess.

For the last few months, myself and a couple of co-founders have been working on this side project in earnest.

Haven't yet found out about genAssess? You can take a look at the LinkedIn page here: genAssess - helping recruiters to assess prompting skills

So, what have we been up to:

  • Market Research: Conducted extensive research, gathering feedback from recruitment, TA, and HR leaders, resulting in a clear understanding of the need for AI literacy assessments in hiring and L&D. We validated the demand for the tool with positive feedback, key statistics, and data to support the value proposition.
  • Honing the Pitch: Refined the genAssess pitch, focusing on the benefits of AI skills assessments for both recruitment and internal L&D. This includes a clear explanation of how the tool will be used, what problem it solves, and the return on investment for companies.
  • Securing Pilots for 2025: We’ve started securing pilots, with our first pilot already confirmed this week to begin in January 2025. This positions us for real-world feedback and further product development, ensuring we’re ready for broader market deployment.

Events

Come and join me at IHR - In-house Recruitment Recruitment Technology Conference 2024.

I'll be hosting a panel, which I'm titling: "From grads to execs: How AI is transforming every hiring stage"

You will also find me presenting in November at Career Jam 2024, an event focused on Career Coaches, Resume Writers, Career Thought Leaders and Personal Branding Specialists. I'll be discussing trends, tools and ideas on how these professions can work with AI, rather than being replaced by it.

That's all for now, folks.

Looking forward to seeing you join the community and taking part in the conversation around AI in HR.
