Happy Birthday Marines!
On November 10th, Marines everywhere celebrate the birth of our Corps. It’s a date to honor the grit, the sacrifice, and the fierce patriotism that defines what it means to be a Marine. From the halls of Montezuma to the shores of Tripoli, in the snow of far-off Northern lands and in sunny tropic scenes, Marines have been the first to fight our country's battles, willing to pay the ultimate price for freedom. And in a year where patriotism is making its rightful comeback, this birthday feels especially significant.
The Spirit of Semper Fidelis: "Do You Want to Live Forever?"
Gunnery Sergeant Dan Daly shouted, “Come on, you sons of bitches, do you want to live forever?” as he led his Marines into battle during World War I. It was a call to live for something bigger than ourselves. It is a reminder that the price of freedom is steep, and it’s only paid by those willing to lay everything on the line. That spirit, that raw courage, is what we celebrate every year on November 10th. It’s a moment to reflect on the countless Marines who fought, bled, and died so that we could stand free today.
Patriotism is a way of life and for too long, the left has tried to paint patriotism as an outdated and even dangerous idea, going as far as classifying veterans as terrorists. They made a mockery of our military, burned our flag, and pushed a narrative that undermines the very foundation of American herself. But this year, with common sense and strong leadership returning to the White House, we are witnessing a resurgence of the values that made this country great.
The Cost of Freedom: Remembering the Sacrifices
For anyone still brainwashed, let me remind you; FREEDOM ISNT FREE! It has been bought and paid for by the sacrifices of American heroes who answered the call, who didn’t flinch when faced with danger, and who gave everything for a cause greater than themselves. The Marine Corps has a long and storied history of leading from the front, often paying the heaviest price. From the bloody beaches of Iwo Jima to the relentless urban battles of Fallujah, the Corps has stood as America’s sword and shield.
For every Marine who came home draped in a flag, for every veteran who lost a limb or battles the invisible wounds of PTSD, we owe a debt that can never be repaid. We can only honor their legacy by living in a way that reflects their sacrifice, by standing up for the values they fought for and refusing to let their sacrifice be in vain.

The Return of Patriotism: A New Era of American Pride
With the recent election of Donald Trump, we’re witnessing a cultural shift. The banishment of patriotism by leftist ideologies is at an end, and a wave of American pride is sweeping across our nations and into the mainstream. This is a return to common sense, a recognition that love of country isn’t something to be ashamed of but something to be celebrated. Under this new leadership, we have the chance to restore what’s been lost: our unity, pride, and recognition of the true cost of the freedoms we enjoy.
The Marine Corps birthday this year is not just about celebrating another year of the Corps’ existence, it’s a rallying cry for every American to embrace the values that have made this country exceptional. It’s a reminder that patriotism is a guiding principle for our future. We’re entering a new chapter where the sacrifice of our service members is once again recognized, where the flag is respected, and where the American spirit burns brighter than ever before.
Happy Birthday, Marines!
As we celebrate this 249th Marine Corps birthday, we raise a glass to every Marine, past and present, who has carried the torch of freedom. We honor the sacrifices of those who gave their lives and limbs in service to a nation they loved. And we look ahead with renewed hope, knowing that the tide is turning and that the values we hold dear are making a strong return.
Happy birthday, Marines. Your service, your sacrifice, and your spirit have kept the flame of freedom alive. Now, as we enter this new era of patriotism, we stand ready to honor your legacy and carry that flame forward. Semper Fidelis means Always Faithful. Because when you’re a Marine, living forever is only achieved by giving everything for freedom!

2moThis is so well put. "From the halls of Montezuma to the shores of Tripoli, in the snow of far-off Northern lands and in sunny tropic scenes, Marines have been the first to fight our country's battles, willing to pay the ultimate price for freedom."
