Happy Father's Day "Hakuna matata"

Happy Father's Day "Hakuna matata"

One of the greatest gifts my father gave me unintentionally was witnessing the hardship he went through to give us a decent life .

We had a bit of a roller coaster life with some really challenging financial situations. He always had handful of problems to worry about and had little to spend for himself. yet he never disappointed me . He gave me and my sister a king size life in that small kingdom (our own house) .

A man who used to wake up every day at 5 am and with all dedication he attends office @ 6.30 am throughout his service in Binny Mills. He was the first graduate in our family and it was great pride to me personally to walk few inches tall during those family celebration but unfortunately his career was not that great to boast about in fact I used to blame him for holding on to same desk job in the same company for 25 years.

We were badly hit when Binny mills closed during late 1990s and my mother was the only bread winner nevertheless he tried his best to support our family and spent all his gratuity money in my education. It was a blessing in disguise to have little to spend for education and I enrolled for a graduate course (BBA ) but had vision to complete my studies with good rank.I was able to complete my MBA with scholarships and manage to do at least half dozen (Mgt and IT) courses with a passion to excel in my field. He never said no to any of my educational programs and managed to arrange fee for all those courses.

I knew my father had done the best he could, and I had no regrets about the way I'd turned out. Regrets about journey, maybe, but not the destination.

Today when I look back it was not really easy task for him and I am grateful to all that he had given me. Everything I am today and I will be tomorrow is because of my parents and my family.

A father is a man who expects his son to be as good a man as he meant to be and always wanted him go beyond his achievements.

The Chandrasekar is my father's name and I carry it along with my Name ( as a Tamil native, we normally use only the initials as Sir name but I changed it to my father's name ).

The DC*,Star that appears in my signature is tribute to this simple man who taught me to dream bigger, be humble and shine like a star and be a guiding light for the people who need you the most.

" Stars shine the brightest in the darkest night "they say. He is my Star

Thank you Dad & "Hakuna matata" ( meaning No Worries )
