Happy International Day of Families
Whilst we mark International Day of Families today, I connected with Jasbir Singh who is coming up to marking his 10 year anniversary at PepsiCo .
Here he reflects on the opportunities he has received to date to shape his career, from India to Ireland.
How long have you been in PepsiCo and what is your current role?
I have been employed with PepsiCo for almost 10 years now. I joined the organization in September 2013. In my current role I support the Supply Chain groups as the HR Business Partner. In addition to that, I am also partnering with the Operations group on certain capability and blueprinting related projects.
Tell us a bit about the path that led you to where you are today?
I joined the organization as Site HR lead for our plant in India in 2013. It was an exciting period full of immense learning as the site was growing through a period of org re-design and growth.
After spending almost 6 years in India, I got an opportunity to move over to Ireland in 2019.
Post coming over to Ireland, my first assignment was the Site HR Lead for Carrigaline plant. In this role, I was the HR Business partner for the site operations group.
In 2022, I got an opportunity to move over to the other plant in Little Island as Site HR Lead on a secondment. In this role, I supported the plant Operations teams and the Food Flavours site operations team. It was a great experience with lots of challenges and new learnings.
So what does your role involve?
The role involves anything from day-to-day people related matters, like hiring, performance, H&S etc to partnering with the functional leaders on strategic interventions and initiatives like org design, talent planning, growth and development interventions etc.
What are some of the most exciting opportunities in PepsiCo?
PepsiCo is willing to invest in its people if you have the desire to learn and grow.
Being a truly global company, it allows individuals like me to explore opportunities for career growth & experiences beyond your region and country.

Critical experiences across different sites (and across different countries) and groups (Operations, Supply Chain etc). I have been one of the fortunate ones to have had experience across three sites and the corporate groups as well.
Connectivity with the global teams for new learnings and leveraging best practices across the different sites and groups.
Tell us a bit about your family?
Family is my strength and my priority. I live here in Ireland with my lovely wife, Parul and my two beautiful daughters Saanvi and Keesha, 8 years, and 2 years respectively. Needless to say, our 2 years old is the ‘Boss of the House’.
How did you find the relocation process?
In two words, efficient and smooth
The organization makes sure that the international relocation experience is fabulous for anyone making a move as it can be very stressful.
Each aspect in the relocation process was well managed by the third parties engaged by the company.
What do you enjoy most about working for PepsiCo?
Allow me to start by saying I love PepsiCo. PepsiCo has given me great experiences and learnings.
In all the four roles that I have done, I loved the empowerment and autonomy that was given to me.
I also enjoyed the trust and coaching that I received from my managers and leaders over the last 10 years.
Lastly, I have very high regard for the way this organization cares for its employees. PepsiCo is truly a people company.
