Has retaining your company’s "A"- Team become a challenge ?

Has retaining your company’s "A"- Team become a challenge ?

Has retaining your company’s "A" - TEAM become a challenge?

Birds can fly in any manner they wish but they choose to stay together in flocks.

Horses can gallop solo across the wild plains but they elect to stick with their herds.

Wolves stay in packs, insects in swarms and hives, and so on …

SO, HOW DOES NATURE DO IT?

What makes wild animals STAY with their “TEAM” and what inspiring strategies can we take away from nature for our organizations ?

Let’s take a very quick look at wild horse herds:

1.    They SHARE THE SAME ESSENTIAL MISSION: to survive and thrive. It’s clear, understood, and embodied by every single member of the team/herd.

2.    ALL team members demonstrate SPECIFIC SOFT SKILLS that help them achieve their goals collaboratively: authenticity, trust, clear communication, courage, emotional intelligence, presence, empathy, accountability, to name but a few …

3.   The BENEFITS of staying in the herd OUTWEIGH the costs : nature is volatile, uncertain, complex, ambiguous (VUCA), and even dangerous sometimes, much like the world today and perhaps even more like the world of tomorrow. Nature draws on diversity and talent and on simplicity, adaptability, collaboration, energy preservation, fun, and a sense of belonging to serve her mission. Staying in the herd doesn’t just help each member to survive, but also helps them to THRIVE.

There are no "STAR" players in Nature.

Every member/leader is an "A"-player.

🎯 Take a look at your organization and compare your team’s (‘s) attributes with these characteristics present in Nature.

(And by the way, did you notice? No currency is involved in Nature’s transactions)

SO, WHAT SHOULD THESE REVELATIONS INSPIRE YOU TO DO ?

#teamleaders, #teammembers, #managers, #HR, #Csuite, #leaders, #teachers, and everyone, we would love to hear your thoughts or ideas below, ⏩ and stay tuned, we will share more business strategies and ideas inspired by Nature in our next post.

in 35 years of coaching for better culture and performance, I've rarely seen substantial improvement come from individual efforts. Herd behaviour is more and more essential to success in today's complex organizations.
