LGBTQ+ hate crimes in the U.S. skyrocketed in 2022. Reports of murders, property damage, assaults and intimidation were the highest in history.
Nearly 10% of the American population identifies as LGBTQ+. Among them 5% are Transgender or Non Binary. With a purchasing power of $1 Trillion, the LGBTQ+ community spends more on health, technology and education than traditional demographic groups.
Hate is a negative emotion based on perception that instills fear, insecurity and mistrust. To learn how the St. Louis LGBTQ+ community is fighting against the indignities, Brittany Noble spoke to activist and Transgender woman Jordan Braxton.
