The Best Bluetooth Earphones For Big Time Grunge Fans
Alright... Test Results Just In!
I'm a sound aficionado... Testing and writing, all about E-Gadgets. Bluetooth headphones? I've tried them all.... And, I love finding the best sound quality at the best price around.
We all know that Apple dominates the market. AirPods are the top dog of wireless headphones. They sound awesome, work like a horse, and rarely let you down.
So, when my company asked me to review these brand spanking new Bluetooth earphones, I wasn’t too excited.
My assignment? - Testing these AirBuds for the boss. And they're doing me right - especially for the price. Listening to Evenflow (Pearl Jam) as I write. I test a lot of earphones. Headphones. It's not a bad job at all. I love music.
They arrived 7 days after ordering. Came in a neat little package. All ready for my hot hands to unwrap, and my overworked ears were ready for a new day of testing.
They felt and looked a lot like their high-priced counterparts. Good materials. I popped them in my ears to test out the fit.
They’re surprisingly comfortable. No complaints there. But, my job is to seriously test them out. So I shook and banged my head as if I were Phil Anselmo (Pantera) They stayed in just fine. Not like some others that I've tried before.
How Did AirBuds Work And Sound?
Well… to be honest, they’re surprisingly good.
Bluetooth devices I’ve tested have improved a whole lot in the last couple of years. Better E-chips. Better speakers. And these Airbud have all the new tech inside. They’re a hell of a deal. And waaaaay better than many of the off-brand sets that come through my hands. No complaints there.
Sleek, spiffy, high-quality shell? Check!
So, I charged them up with the included charging case, and they paired up with my iPhone right away. No problem there, feeling great, feeling good...
I put on some of my favorite old grunge tracks and there you go. It actually made my 90’s grunge songs sound crisper. They sounded better than any of those bass-laden earphones I've tested before... As a matter of fact, with these buds, I could even hear guitar parts, that I hadn't noticed before.

The bass (my 2nd favorite part) was deep and strong. Hard to believe what little earphones can do, nowadays. They had my feet tapping.
My ears approve. I don't want to sound too hype, but these Bluetooth earphones delivered. They rock along with some of the best of the earphones I've tried.
The Specs
For the price, the specifications are what surprised me the most. And Airbuds rank amongst the best of them.
More details:
The BLUETOOTH Mode uses A2DP1.3/HFP1.6/HSP1.2/AVRCP1.6/D11... That means they're up to date with the latest tech, and that's what gives them their long-range.. You can actually hear from up to 34 feet away from your phone and/or PC.
BATTERIES – Charge in about 3 hrs.. with 72 hrs of standby time.. and the sound quality is good until the last juice.
PHONE CALLS – What I hate about other Bluetooth earphones is this...When you’re answering phone calls, you have to manually go back and play the track you were listening to.
But, with the Airbuds, the music continues automatically when you’re done with the incoming phone call.. Plus, they also has a cool feature that let's you switch off one side, so music on one side, call on the other
COMPATIBILITY – I own a lot of other brands... And, it’s so convenient to have a Bluetooth device that’s compatible with my iPhone, Samsung, and both my Mac and Windows laptop. The Airbuds pair strong and fast with all of these systems... And in just two simple steps. Never experienced a dropout the whole 2 weeks I’ve been using em’.
The Verdict
If you’re into House Music, I would suggest you invest in those $160 earbuds. Airbuds are quite decent to listen to Electronic-Body-Music with, but nothing will really rival the Airpods. Regardless of what you've read in the ads.
That being said, if you're into enjoying grungy, wailing guitars from the shoegazers of the 90’s, then these are your best bet.,, And you should get them now while the price is still ridiculously low.
