Heal Your Anxiety

Heal Your Anxiety

For the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: ‘If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?’ And whenever the answer has been ‘No’ for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.”-Steve Jobs

Not a day passes when I don’t look around at the world we’ve been living in for the past six months and pause to take in the unreality of it all, the magnitude, the grief. This unexpressed grief is leading to depression and anxiety. When we tamp down on any aspect of our inner life, we lay down the tracks for invasive thoughts to take hold.

In order to sufficiently process what we can on this side of the pandemic, we must have a relationship with our own self as well as a solid self- love which can take responsibility and work effectively with the character of Resistance towards the widespread anxiety all around.

To achieve something great, it is more important to focus on what you need to take away rather than what you need to add. If you heal with your anxiety on a regular basis, burnout can never hug you.

This self-care list can act as a healer for getting relief from anxiety and enjoying a weightless life of zero anxiety and stress.

1.     Wake Up Early- As it is important to spend more time building and maintain worldly relationships so is it required for building self-love too. An extra hour in the morning or evening spend with self could help one to gain inner peace and ponder on solutions for all stress.

2.     Ask questions to yourself- Most of the times the reason for stress is unknown, so it is vital to question our own self on finding and understanding the root cause of stress.

3.     Relax - Relax and give breaks to your mind and body even on a busy day

4.     Peace Zone- Make your space a calm space

5.     Talk - Talk about your stress to your friends or family

6.     Brain Dump at Desk, to comprehensively and uncritically expressing and recording one's thoughts and ideas

“Adapt what is useful, reject what is useless, and add what is specifically your own.”- Bruce Lee
