The adage "health is wealth" underscores the profound truth that without good health, material wealth and success have no value. In today's fast-paced world, maintaining optimal health can be challenging, yet it's essential for leading a fulfilling life. This article explores various facets of a healthy lifestyle, including fasting, avoiding processed foods, adopting a nutritious diet, engaging in regular exercise, and incorporating beneficial supplements like sea moss, shilajit, and multivitamins. In the past, I worked as a model and actress, where I was paid on what I looked like, my image and likeness. To stay thin, I tried many diets, including being a vegan. I was vegan for about 3 years. Being healthy is such a blessing. Our bodies are sacred and to be treated as temples.This is not medical advice, but my observations and experience I would like to share with you. 

The Power of Fasting

Fasting, a practice observed in various cultures and religions, has gained modern recognition for its health benefits. Intermittent fasting, which involves alternating periods of eating and fasting, has been shown to improve metabolic health, enhance brain function, and increase longevity. By giving the digestive system a break, fasting helps in detoxification and cellular repair processes, renewal of the body, and connection to God, mind, body, and self.

Fasting also helps with decisions, clarity, and closer connection to source, or God. I do a water fast for three days once a month  and intermittent fasting daily. Listen to your body during fast.

Steering Clear of Processed Foods

Processed foods are often laden with unhealthy fats, sugars, and artificial additives, which can lead to various health issues, including obesity, diabetes, and heart disease. Opting for whole, unprocessed foods ensures the intake of essential nutrients without the harmful extras. 

Embracing a Nutritious Diet

A nutritious diet forms the cornerstone of good health. Consuming a variety of foods ensures a well-rounded intake of nutrients. Key components of a nutritious diet include:

Fruits and Vegetables: Rich in vitamins, minerals, and fiber, they are essential for immune function, digestion, and disease prevention.

Whole Grains:Provide sustained energy and are rich in fiber, aiding in digestive health and weight management.

Proteins:  Necessary for muscle repair and growth, and maintaining healthy skin and hair.

Healthy Fats:  Found in nuts, seeds, avocados, and fish, these fats support brain health and hormone production.

The Importance of Active Exercise

Regular physical activity is crucial for maintaining cardiovascular health, building and maintaining muscle mass, and enhancing mental well-being. Exercise helps regulate weight, reduce the risk of chronic diseases, and boost mood through the release of endorphins. Activities such as walking, running, cycling, and strength training should be incorporated into daily routines for optimal health benefits.

Beneficial Supplements
