Health and Wealth Maestros
We are always being consistent and persistent, it is just the direction of travel we need to look at
Do you ever feel like you are not enough? That you are always missing the mark?
The truth is you are good enough and you are always hitting the mark.
Surprised?
In this week's newsletter, I am looking at something that generally bothers me about the message being delivered by coaches and motivational speakers. This a broad and possibly unfair generalization but let me explain.
We are usually told things like you need to be consistent, and persistent.
The inference is that we are not being consistent, or persistent, nothing could be further from the truth.
I think people do not realize they are not broken, or to be clear the processes, and the things they do on the day-to-day are working.
The things we do on a day-to-day, produce the results we see.
So for things to show up in our lives results we are doing things very consistently, we are being persistent.
Being harsh (but potentially fair) if every day we do nothing we are being persistent, and consistent. The mechanism I call it is working. What we are thinking about is coming about.
We chat with folk all of the time on our courses and ask them what are you dreaming about, what are your aspirations, they often say nothing really. Whether they know it or not they are constantly thinking, there are programs running in our subconscious that are producing the results we see and whilst to some degree the process is automated there is a modicum of repetition, or reaffirming the ideas we are having within the subconscious that show up as results.
So it is unfair of coaches, and motivational speakers to imply we are broken what we are doing is not working and we are being neither consistent nor persistent, we are it is just the direction of travel we need to look at.
To change direction you are going to use the same process you are using right now, the process is not broken and neither are you.
The change in results we see in individuals' lives and organizations alike is phenomenal once everyone gets to grips with this idea.
Change is super easy when you realize what you are doing is working, there is no requirement to have a quantum shift, to learn new methods or processes, it is working.
Whether the change/result you need to see is in finance health or relationships, increased profits in a business, or results in a sports team, this is not rocket science.
So this week's take away you are being consistent and persistent, do not throw the baby out with the bath water to change the results you are seeing.
