Shocking warnings about the worst impacts of climate change are being echoed by the leading international agencies one after the other. Most grim predictions in this regard now have come from the US National Climate Assessment report released recently that warn about a world heading towards a complete chaos by the close of the present century. Loss of billions of hours in productivity, wiping out of the economy worth billions of dollars and loss of human lives in tens of thousands etc., could be the resultant impact of this climatic chaos each year.

Undoubtedly, the scientific findings of this report are America-specific, describing an  American future that is nothing short of apocalyptic due to rising threats from climate change, it also focuses on almost every facet of life — whether it's global trade, national security or personal health — that will not be safe. While predicting that every nightmare scenario will feed into another, findings of the report further predict that the disasters from climate change will start to compound each other, as will the consequences. It is worth mentioning here that some specific warnings predicted by the 2014 US National Climate Assessment report— such as rising sea levels, disruptions in food productions and the spread of wildfires — have all come true in resent times and the latest report cautions that swift and immediate concrete action is direly needed. Strong political will is required to salvage humankind from the catastrophe of climate change.
