It’s that time of year again—our much-anticipated Christmas party is right around the corner! 🎉 While we’re all here to celebrate, let’s keep the "ho-ho-hos" and the "no-no-nos" in check and enjoy our holiday party.
- Do have fun: It’s a party! Relax, enjoy the festivities, and spread good cheer (and maybe some dance moves).
- Do eat something: The food is there for you, not just as decoration. Fuel up—it helps keep your party stamina strong and soaks up any excessive alcohol consumption… you know who you are!
- Do talk to new people: Take this chance to mingle outside your usual circle. You might learn something new about that person from accounting! You may also learn something you didn’t want to learn about them too…. What is said on the Christmas Party stays on the Christmas party!
- Do remember tomorrow exists: Keep the night memorable…for the right reasons and avoid wherever possible using the photocopier to copy intimate parts of your body!
- Don’t impersonate Santa after too many drinks: Jolly, yes. Falling into the Christmas tree? Not so much.
- Remember Santa has a naughty and nice list: No naughty elves are expected as they will need to read the disciplinary policy for the Monday!
- Do not post embarrassing videos of your work colleagues online: We have a team’s company group channel for that! Remember we all have phones with video camera functionality!
- Don’t challenge your manager to a karaoke battle: Unless you're really good at Mariah Carey’s All I Want for Christmas Is You (then, go for it).
- Don’t let the mistletoe lead you astray: Respect your colleagues' boundaries - awkward Monday mornings aren’t festive.
- Don’t turn Secret Santa into “Unwanted Gossip Santa”: Keep conversations fun and light-hearted - no Grinches allowed no matter how much alcohol is consumed.
What happens at the Christmas party…should not require an HR meeting on Monday. 😊
Let’s make it a celebration to remember for all the right reasons. We’re looking forward to seeing you there in your festive best!
