Helping Individuals get ahead is more than just Money and Training
It is really great to see all of the many foundations giving money to expand training and help individuals at all levels get the training and education needed to make a path for a career in the world of work. There are organizations that offer technical training, STEAM training, CTE, coding, and even soft skills training to expand the workforce's needs to reach greater mobility in the workforce. Millions are being spent, and many trainers, teachers, professors, and skilled mentors commit themselves to the Gen-Z'ers to prepare them to take over our businesses and trades for the future.
This is all AWESOME, but…
Our Gen-Z'ers are not taking the bait, and those gaining from this training are often left to their abilities to find a real job. What does this mean? Well, we teach resume skills, interview skills, and sometimes search for jobs skills. What often happens is that we do not connect individuals with the employers or the right networks that are desperate for the skills being taught. The lack of connect-ability is because we are still living in the past when it comes to employing our nation and connecting the right candidate to the right job.
We live in the 21st Century, so let's act like it…
Since we spend millions on training and feel great about the effort we put forward in providing the funding and training, we should spend a little more and set every Individual up for success to track every credential and skills they have earned in their academic journey and their career skills training. In addition, the ability to provide a verified resume of skills to employers seeking specific types of skill sets.
In our great world of training future job seekers, there is a failure to provide all of the tools necessary for that individuals to seek a d successfully become connected to the right employer for the right match.
Imagine a future where THIS HAPPENS…
Here is what the future should look like… students in 9th grade have access to all of their credentials on their cell phone. They have their birth certificate, immunization records, and all of their grades and special training records. As they go through high school and those engaged in dual enrollment, they will be able to have control of all of their documents and grades.
Some individuals will start the college planning with their parents and counselor and imagine if they have the ability to apply for numerous scholarships from their phone during lunch hour because they have all of their needed records in their secure document Locker on their phone protected by Blockchain. Yes, I said it applying for scholarships on their lunch hour!
Better yet, how about applying for college admissions while working on homework during study hall. All from the convenience of their document locker on their phone.

Or Individuals can apply for jobs directly by selecting the materials to be sent and all of this before they finish their French Fries at lunch.
Imagine a world where job fairs are conducted over your phone, and individuals can conduct 1-1 video calls during the job fair.
